"I wasn’t satisfied with the installer but after that, I called the manager where I purchased them from and they have what they call a recovery man. He comes and redoes the installer’s flaws or mistakes and I’ve been very satisfied with the recovery man but I didn’t really like the installer who put them in. I wasn’t satisfied with his work. There was something with each window either inside or outside. I was totally disgusted with the installer but the guy that came to do the flaws, he is a very qualified person. I really like his work that he did for me to try to rectify what the installer did or didn’t do. I didn’t get too many prices but I would say their price is fair."

"Overall great job. Very professional. Works very well with what you want and offers great ideas. Came in and did a complete basement for me including 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, office, media room, storage room, family room, etc... Even found an issue with my HVAC and fixed it for me at a great price. Overall A+ work. Would defiantly recommend and use again myself. <br />"

"We are thrilled to be working with the Triple R crew again for upcoming house projects. This spring (2022) we had Triple R Construction come out to make critical repairs (due to water damage) to our sun room and deck. NOTE: We live in a 100+ year old house, and we were pleased with Triple R's knowledge and experience in working on older homes. We also appreciated the thoroughness and professionalism of Cody and his team. We wholeheartedly recommend Triple R to anyone with General Contracting needs. As stated, we are already working with them again on other house projects, and look forward to using this company for all our major house projects in the future."

"We worked with both Cory and Darin on our project, and both of them understood our kitchen cabinet budget and worked within it. Compared to other providers, the product we purchased and had installed was in the same price range. Our cabinets, however, have a few more included features that were add-ons for other manufacturers whom we quoted. Cory was (and remains) very attentive to our needs. If you're looking to remodel or upgrade your kitchen, we recommend you visit Darin Fisher Designer Kitchens."

"Mid-Atlantic provided a solution which is guaranteed to last for the life of the house.  The workman worked very hard to contain the dust and clean up after they were done.  Our basement is dry!"

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Clarksburg, WV

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
