"Our house had a water damage that ruined much of the drywall and floor on the first floor and the basement. For such a big repair job, I carefully looked up the reviews and recommendations from Angie's list and talked to 3 contractors that have the highest ratings. AOM was one of the three. David, the owner of AOM, quickly came to our house, assessed the damage, explained to me what need to be done, showed great empathy to our loss and current situation (having to stay in hotel waiting to go back to our house), and put a very competitive bid (about 2/3 the bid of another contractor). We picked them and signed the contract. AOM uses Trello, a cloud-based project tracking system that software companies often use, to effectively and promptly communicate task description and updates to all workers and house owners. AOM workers are professional, hard working, and friendly. For such a big project, expectedly there were some hiccups and AOM had to juggle ours with their other on-going projects. David kindly explained to me various aspects of the repair work and promptly fixed any faults that we identified. I became to completely trust David's professional skill and that he would treat our house like his. Several nights and weekends David came to work late so that we could move back to normal life as soon as possible. In the end, we are very happy with our remodeled house. I sincerely recommend David and AOM for any house remodeling and restoration job."

"Progresive Restoration did a great job on our condo building. Marcus and his team are extremely hard-working and communicate often. There was never any confusion about our project and they paid attention to every detail from when they started on the estimate to completing the job. Overall great experience working with Progressive Restoration."

"We hired Brian to waterproof our basement last year but this year, we received a heavy rainstorm that created massive flooding around the area. Everything Brian waterproofed was bone dry but there was an exit door entry way that we never even considered waterproofing. The door held back most of the water but it managed to get in through the cracks of the door.

I contacted multiple companies that night and the next morning, but Brian was the only one who responded back first thing in the morning. He agreed to meet us at our house to assess the problem, and we appreciated that he arrived quickly. After evaluating multiple options, Brian told us that we needed a sump pump and drain tile installed to permanently fix this problem. He initially scheduled us for the next Monday, but after understanding our urgency, he bumped us up to the next day. The workers arrived when he said they would, and the work was completed the same day in the afternoon. Thank you to Brian and his company for being so accommodating, being there when we needed him, and completing the work promptly.

*~update~*
After some heavy rains, we noticed that we were still getting some seepage in our "waterproofed" basement. After contacting Brian (for our lifetime warranty or whatever), he said he would come out. He then proceeded to cancel/make an excuse the next 3-4 appointments. Then he just stopped responding to emails/calls. We're very disappointed because we really liked Brian. Now we have to open the walls to see where the seepage is coming in and call someone else to seal them."

"Hired them to repair the drywall on one wall and paint the dining room, living room, bathroom, kitchen, hallway, office and ceilings. The drywall guy was amazing and great at his work. The painting was okay. The painters did not prime the wall the drywall guy skimmed and I had to buy more paint for them to coat it two more times. They did tape everything but paint still ended up on the trim and fixture, but the kicker was the black paint spilled in the office on the carpet that they did not attempt to clean up nor offer to have it fixed. We also was having real hardwood flooring installed by Loews in the dining, living room and hallway, and they wanted the job. It started off fine and they took a little longer than we thought. They did scratched the floor in two places and when we pointed it out they got some wood filler and that was how the fixed it. The filler filled the gouge but is not repaired. The price also went up without any compensation for the damage to the new floor. Pointing out the issues I had with the painting, they did make efforts to address my concerns. The workers are great and friendly I just think the boss signs them up for jobs outside of there capabilities sometimes."

"Parts was ordered and arrive fast. They should be installed in a few days."
