"Randy was just awesome! He was very knowledgeable and very kind. I called him around 10 am after having a new refrigerator delivered. I explained that I needed some help with the water line that connects to the ice maker/water dispenser. He explained over the phone what likely needed to happen and then told me that he would get back with me in a couple of hours. I gave him my address and info and sure enough--2 hours later he comes, takes a look at what I need done, went to the hardware store, and bought what was needed. He then came back and installed everything and spent a good deal of time talking to me about installing our gutters. He's very friendly and I would not hesitate to call him again if we need work done on our house or remodeling. The quality of service we received definitely exceeded the price we paid to hire him. Randy, if you see this, thanks again very much for all of your help today!"

"We had a great experience with Scott and would highly recommend him. We have a screened-in deck that needed re-staining. Scott came by for an estimate, and his price was very reasonable. Once the cold weather had cleared, he contacted us to set up a date. He and his employee came over early one morning and got started. They removed all our furniture, as well as removed a screen door and all our screens, and did all the cleaning and pressure washing, removing the old stain, etc., in order to prepare the deck for new staining. Once this was completed, they waited a few days, then returned. They showed us a couple of sample colors painted on our deck. We picked a color, and they completed the staining that day, which was an all-day job. They then put our door and screens back on, put our furniture back in place, and cleaned up everything. Our deck is on a walk-out, so there are a lot of steps, and it is covered/screen-in, so a big job. The deck looks beautiful! We are so happy with how it turned out and how things went along the way. There were some delays due to the bad weather, but communication was good throughout. We definitely made the right choice in hiring Scott and would hire him again."

"Nick and Dean are a father, son team that own the company. They contacted me through Angie's List for deck repair. When they came out, they were both very friendly. I told them I needed to have my 30 year old deck leveled because it was sinking into the ground. They crawled under the deck to see what the problem was and bounced ideas off each other on the best way to proceed. They explained exactly what they wanted to do and even drew it out on paper to diagram it visually. They gave a couple different options that would be cheaper because I didn't have a budget figured out just yet. After deciding what I wanted to do, I called them and booked a start date. They called me back a few days later and moved up my start date a week earlier because they had an opening. I was happy to get the job started sooner than expected. Nick was friendly over the phone and kept in touch via email or text. It was a 2 day job and after they pulled some boards up from the floor of the deck they realized it wasn't quite built the way they expected and revised a plan. They explained everything to me and I gave my approval. Dean (father) had an eye for detail and fixed any small problem he came across. My deck was lower in the middle by about 5 inches and they installed a beam down the middle to raise and support. I'm very happy with their work and would call them again for future work on my deck or house."

"Jamie, Julie & Sandy, after explaining the process, transformed my dirty, mildewy house to beatifully clean. Walking around my house afterwords, the whole area even smelled fresh. Jamie & crew were professional yet personable. He even threw in a driveway cleaning. Bottom line - give them a try."

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in Cleveland, MO

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
