"Scott was AMAZING. I had a very tight timeframe to carpet my dad's home and was in a panic. He provided great advice on what type of carpet I should get (my dad has a dog) and actually saved me money from going with my original idea of a higher priced item. He completed the entire house well ahead of schedule and even took care of my dad's garage door when the power ran out. Would HIGHLY recommend him! Maria"

"We just had Marshall Carpet One install new floors for our entire first floor and part of our 2nd floor and our experience was great! We had both hard surface and carpet installed. They took the time to explain the difference between the various hard floor options. We selected samples to take home. After a few days of moving the samples from room to room, we selected samples that both my husband and I loved. We did have some questions about how best to manage some areas of our home. Marshall Carpet one had someone come to our home, listened to our concerns and provide us with options that best fit our lifestyle. Once the order was placed, Marshalls Carpet One scheduled both our installs (hard surface and carpet) in a timely manner that worked with our schedules. The installers Marshall Carpet sent to our home were a pleasure. They arrived on time, they were professional, and they did a great job. An unexpected challenge was discovered when our old kitchen floor was pulled up. The installer called the owner, and a resolution was quickly identified. It was clear Marshalls Carpet One was committed to making sure our install was flawless. Upon completion, both teams of installers walked through the house with us so we could review their work and address any concerns. Everything was perfect. Thank you Marshall Carpet One!"

"Well, these areas consist of fiid and wine assumptions. We previously had Mother's Day celebration and a full bottle of wine by accident. Then the stains from our outdoor 3 season room to dining room stains are gone. Our carpeting is drying at quick rate and feels on my barefeet so nice. The extra service of carpet stain prevention from the previous year was prevalent. Therefore we continued the extra service. CoVid19 readiness and co CERN was first most important before they entered the home. Thank you Daryl and your team."

"The crew worked very hard to get the job done in one day. They didn't cut the carpet small enough for the garbageman to take but when I called up the store, they sent a truck out the same day to pick it up. The carpet was very reasonable priced and looks great!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Cleveland, OH

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
