"My husband and I purchased an awning for a backyard deck, to be placed above the patio door. The awning we purchased thru Amazon. While looking for an installer on Angi we found PRZ Builders. We called Chris, set up an appointment for a quote. We found Chris to be professional, personable and knowledgeable. Because of storms that kept building on northeast Ohio, it took a few days longer than anticipated for installation. Chris and his crew showed up on time with a wonderful attitude and ready to work. When the installation was complete all work areas were clear of debris and any moving of outdoor furniture was placed back. Chris returned the next day to do a final inspection of his crew's work and address any last minute questions. I do not hesitate to recommend PRZ Builders to my family. They deserve 5 stars!"

"If I could rate this company a 0/5 stars I would. We had a man come out and fix our garage door last month (replace cable, realignment, etc). We paid $260.00 for service. Shortly after he left, our garage door would not close all the way and instead kept coming back up without even touching the ground. We let it go to see if it would correct itself, and it did not. We called Action Door back, assuming they’d correct their mistake out of courtesy, and the tech came out and wiped grass off the bottom of our garage door. Literally that was it. We were charged $180.00 ($175.00 of that being their minimum service fee) that was ALSO never disclosed. This did not fix the problem and it intermittently will still not close. After complaining about the fee, considering this was a new problem that we never had before the first tech was here, Action Door informed me that this was a new problem that was NOT the initial techs fault and we would be charged due to it being a second problem that required a service (aka a service of wiping grass off the bottom of the garage door with no solution). This company is trash and my entire family will no longer be using their services after we’ve used them for years. Great job Action Door!!! Everyone be aware of the $175.00 service fee that they charge you no matter what!!!!!!! They won’t tell you about it."

FAQs for water dock building service projects in Cleveland, OH

With the right design and maintenance, a vinyl sea wall capped with concrete can serve you for 50 to 70 years, while poured-concrete walls last 50 to 60 years. Steel or aluminum options last 30 to 40 years, and treated wood holds up for 10 to 25 years. Plan on regular inspections and prompt repairs to keep any sea wall performing at its best for decades.

A bulkhead holds back soil in calm, inland waters, while a sea wall is built for pounding coastal waves. The sea wall’s job is to absorb and deflect wave energy, offering stronger erosion control. A bulkhead mainly keeps soil in place but isn’t designed to stand up to heavy surf.

A sea wall needs a deep footing—four to 10 feet or more—so it can resist shifting soils and constant wave pressure. The exact depth depends on your soil conditions, water depth, chosen material, and local building codes. Your marine contractor may dig even deeper to secure the wall in place and meet the structural specifications.

Plan on a quick visual check every season. Look for cracks, loose panels, or washed-out soil, clear weep holes so water can drain, and trim plants that push against the wall. Catching small issues early helps maintain the structure's soundness and prevents major repair bills later. Your sea wall builder can make recommendations for an ongoing maintenance plan that will help keep your sea wall in optimal condition.

Most residential sea walls are completed in an average of one to three weeks, covering preparation work, sheet piling, and cleanup. Larger commercial walls require additional engineering and can extend well beyond that window. Your crew drives steel or vinyl sheets into the soil, then finishes caps, tie-backs, and grading before final inspection.

The “best” wall is the one engineered for your site, but concrete often tops the list for pure strength and longevity. It anchors soil, blocks water, and handles repeated wave hits better than wood or light-gauge steel. Collaborate with a marine contractor to determine the ideal material for your shoreline and budget.
