"We first hired Deck and Patio to build a new back yard deck with a pergola cover and walkway back in 2015. They showed us pictures from a variety of their past jobs and their references were so impressive that we also hired them to build a stone firepit off the deck, and added accent lighting along the walkway and deck. The finished work was so impressive that we are still (even today) getting comments from guests and even other service people that our back yard is so beautiful, a great place to relax—and they are right. It was not without some glitches along the way—for example, the firepit did not drain off the rain water properly at first. Unpredictable events like this occur with every job, but the difference with this company is that Martin is so attentive and so focused on customer service—they actually stayed with it until the problem was solved, and it has never occurred since. We cannot talk long about Deck and Patio without also referring also to the high level of workmanship and professionalism shown by the work crew. One of these, Charlie Fick, is particularly worthy of comment. A master painter, he takes the time to assess the needs of a job, including not just the color and tone of the paint itself, but the character of the wood and the way it takes the paint. Like Martin, he returns to check the quality of his work and measures it against a high standard. If he is not pleased with the result, he will repeatedly revisit the issue. He told me once that he looks at our place as if it were his own. Finally, our satisfaction with this company is so absolute that we are even discussing a regular program of maintenance in the future for the lighting system, pergola, stonework, and painting. "Nolan came out to spec what we hoped would be a simple job. We needed to replace some old cement stairs with wooden. He came out and we discussed how wide the steps needed to be. You can't see it from the picture but the posts are cemented in place. Nolan sourced the materials, gave us a very reasonable estimate and completed the build including clean up within 2 days. We were very satisfied with his work."

Our build met lots if "hiccups" where required underpinning had not been done to the patio. Matt did not just carry on, everything was strengthened and put right before he allowed his team to continue with the build. Most impressed. Matt built us a large covered patio with cedar posts and beams, cathedral ceiling all in oiled pine, wall with a stable door shipped specifically from England, Austin stone fireplace with cedar beam and large gas fire place, grills, BBQ, sink, refrigeration etc all with granite tops and splashback, granite shelf atop of the pony walls surrounding the BBQ area and finished with a beautiful Travertine floor. The existing roof came off and Matt took the asphalt tiles off back to the house and replaced them all to ensure quality continuity to the aesthetics of the build Do not be put off by the company name, there is nothing "Budget" about them! Highly skilled, high quality work from a very knowledgeable young builder at a very fair price! I am so very glad Matt is young, it means he will be my builder of choice for years to come. "They were great from my first conversation with Rolando Barahona. He came out and listened to what I needed and emailed me the written estimate. He worked with me to secure the proper materials. He walked me through what was going on while the job was being performed. Rolando and the other gentlemen did an excellent job on overcoming a couple of issues that came up. They cleaned up when the job was done and left my garage in the same condition it was before the job. The job was to cut an opening in the ceiling of the garage and install pull down steps."
