"They came to look at our original water heater and I told them before they started that we thought it could be electrical, but he insisted that it might not be, so they installed a new water heater. Come to find out, it was electrical like we originally thought. He should have traced the issue before he went in and installed the new heater. UPDATE (08/13/2015): I think it was more of a misunderstanding of how much electrical work he is able to do vs. what needed to be done. He is not an electrician. Once we spoke we were able to get a much better understanding of the issue."

Once they arrived, it took maybe 10 minutes to clear out a grease clog 65ft out from my sink. They made it look easy peasy! They're also a 24 hour on call service, if you have a plumbing emergency! It's very nice to have that service so close, here in Porter. They'll definitely be my go-to in the future!"

When he got here we talked about what we wanted done and he showed us pictures of samples of what it would most likely look like and he would get back with us on the estimate.. Then my wife and I started talking about how good it was going to look .We started looking around and decided why not go ahead and have the entire bathroom done to give it a fresh new look...contacted Jose to let him know that we wanted to expand the scope of the job......he gave us an second estimate for the added work and we went from there . We were very satisfied with the completed work. The bathroom looks fantastic. Have used JY HANDYMAN SERVICES a couple of times now and will use them again. Jose and his crew do excellent work and they make sure its done right and things are cleaned up. Also like to thank his wife for keeping us informed and updated on the what's and the when's things were going to happen. She does a great job of keeping you informed.......We talked to Jose about having our front bathroom redone @ the first part of 2019.. "Everything went as planned and were finished prior to the timeline that was set out from the beginning. Roberto is very good at what he does and keeps you updated during all phases of the process. We wrestled with the idea of going cheaper and hiring out each phase of the renovation and doing our own general contracting work, but we are very glad we hired Roberto and his guys to help us instead. At no point during the process was i worried the job wouldn't get done in the manner we wanted it done. The master bath vanities and kitchen island were our signature pieces and Ismael and his guys built them exactly the way we wanted. The tiling was done so well we added on installing stone tile on the fireplaces. One of the fireplaces was not up to Roberto's liking so he made the tiler remove it and fix it at his own cost. Roberto looks at the job as what he would want if it were his house, so never had to worry that he would cut corners or let things not be perfect."

"I used a coupon they offered to get some small but numerous projects done. It went very well. I had quite a "honey-do" list and most of the projects were completed. A few of the items were outside the scope of the coupon, requiring a bit more time and were better quoted separately which I understood perfectly. The were very nice, professional, took pride in their work and didn't attempt anything they may have damaged my home. For example, I had to replace a defective bathroom faucet installed around tile. They explained that although it was a relatively simple job, they would not be able to do it because of the grout around the screw that would require some time to carefully remove. As it is, they will need to come back to do some other work pending an estimate for the work. (installing a dishwasher and replacing wood rot around the garage door. All in all, very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them."
