"I hired All Flortec to refinish a 13 step oak staircase and install approximately 450 square feet of 3/4" x 3" prefinished oak flooring. The finished job looks terrific and I am very satisfied with the outcome and workmanship. There were, however, a few bumps along the way. Communication with Jim could have been more timely. Day to day scheduling and timing was not always clear. And most of the contractors spoke very little English making it difficult to have my questions answered."

"William was excellent, fast, and left the place spotless. Refinished hardwood floors like the pro he is. We especially liked his presentation of the stain choices applied to the freshly sanded floor. Great job - highly recommend. Not only a floor specialist, William is an excellent handyman - for a very reasonable price, we rehired him to hang 75 inch TV on wall."

Wood stain adds a color to the surface. A finish adds a level of shine (e.g. matte, low-gloss, high-gloss) and seals the grain to protect against damage. Some companies, such as Minwax, offer products that do both at once.
