"We had to call on a Sunday evening because water was gushing under our sink. Our integrated supply line had popped loose from the faucet. Within 30 minutes Anthony came out to our house and started checking everything associated with our sink... even our house water pressure. The problem turned out to be our faulty 2 month old Pfister faucet!! I have learned to stay away from this product now! Anyway, he took the faucet out so we could return it to the store and installed a necessary part. Anthony even returned to install our new Delta faucet the next day. Very fast service, were thorough and friendly. Because it had been on a Sunday and in the evening, I expected it to cost much more. I would highly recommend this company to anyone!"

"I contacted Mr. Taylor around 6pm and he agreed to come on the same evening.  <br /> He was courteous and professional and recommend him highly.  <br /> After running the cable, he checked the sink in multiple different ways to make sure it was indeed fixed and working properly.  <br /> He was very clean and made sure to take shoes off when entering the home, and cleaned up after himself.  <br /> Very happy with the service and that the sink was fixed the same day!  <br /> <br />"

"Alex from Sewer Line Video Inspection Company arrived on time to clear our main sewer line, which had been blocked for a few days.  He was professional and worked quickly.  He ran a hydrojet through the sewer main line clean out, but the clean out has too many 90 degree turns.  So, he wasn't able to clean the drain with the large nozzle that he had.  He tried to clear it with a smaller nozzle, but that too was unable to work its way through the clean out.  So, he said that I needed to have a new clean out installed that would go through the ground directly to the sewer main line.  He said that he would need to come back on a later date to dig out and install the new clean out.  Before he left, he wanted to check the soil to see how easy it would be to dig to the main line.  He located the ground directly above the main line and began to dig a shallow hole to test the soil.  A few seconds later, he hit something in the ground, which he identified as a currently existing main line clean out!  It was amazing that he was able to find it.  Apparently, it was installed years ago before I bought the house and had been covered by the lawn at some point.  Alex saved me about $750 since he could now hydrojet the main line through the clean out that he just found rather than having to install a new one.  Thank you Alex!  A few minutes later, he had the sewer line cleared.  He ran a camera all the way through the sewer line to the city's common line under the street.  He identified a 90 degree elbow under the lawn that he said is probably causing the sewer line to back up.  I appreciate Alex's honesty in telling me that we can probably just replace that single elbow and it will fix our sewage problems.  I was afraid I might need to repipe the entire sewage system.  I will definitely call Sewer Line Video Inspection Company again in the near future to replace that elbow.  If you need anyone to clear a sewer blockage, call these guys!  They are great! <br />"

"In mid-December, I received a quote for the job from a popular Westside plumbing company and was putting off the work because it was so expensive.  After using the folks at Leak Free (when my main line backed up on New Year's Day - see my review below), I asked them to give me a bid for the kitchen sink/master bathroom toilet repair.  Leak Free fixed the problem for less than half the amount of the Westside plumbing company's bid.  Where the original bid called for "rebuilding" my toilet, Leak Free fixed the problem in less than two minutes!   Leak Free did a great job and was so responsive.  Most importantly, Leak Free is scrupulous and fair."

"I have used these neighborhood plumbers for years. Not cheap, but no problems with the job. This time, the same issue came up which I will mention. ( and it looks like other reviewers have had same experience) . Had a backup the day after they came. Guy came, here 5 minutes, needed stopper, said he'd bring it. Next visit, no stopper. This guy had to install plumbing behind cabinet, and demos basically 5 pieces of wood. Also broke my sparkletts water crock dispenser and spilled a 5 gallon jug of water all over garage, had to clean up. Said he would replace it. Never heard another word, after calling twice. Then, the bill came. Extra charges: " 2 hours demo: $220.00 1 hour backup $110.00 ( here 5 minutes, did nothing, never replaced stopper). I angrily called office for these exorbitant and untruthful charges. Result; we are parting ways. They did reduce the bogus charges. I got great new plumber. They are also RED LILY ( terrible reviews). If Hire them do watch charges!!"

"The crew arrived on time, and let me know whenever they needed to turn off the water, and announced when they were almost done so I could plan out my day. They hauled away the old water heater which saved us a lot of time and effort to remove. Overall very professional and reasonably priced."

"Rob is a true professional ... shows up on time, knows his stuff and does what he says he is going to do. The drain was a little tricky but he figured out away to make it work, He also arranged for an electrician to install the 220 outlet. My tenant is a happy camper! Thanks Rob."

"I really liked this guy. He was able to come right away. He encountered a few problems but was extremely experienced and knowledgeable and was able to correct them and remain in the price he quoted -- which was very reasonable. When it comes to plumbing you want confidence in the work performed. Highly recommend JB Plumbing."

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Coachella, CA

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
