"All-Phase did a complete remodel of a home we purchased this past summer that was, to put lightly, out of date. Joe Stillman was professional, courteous and easy to work with. He went above and beyond to help us achieve our dreams in our new home. The team that worked on our house was fantastic. Kris, All-Phase's designer, blew us away with his designs for our kitchen and 3 bathrooms. He thoughtfully created a kitchen we could never have conceived ourselves. Josh, our project manager, was there every step of the way making sure everything went smoothly. We absolutely recommend All-Phase to anyone looking to renovate their home. We are extremely happy with the finished product...we are now living in our dream home thanks to All-Phase!"

"Matt and his team with MNB Renovations did a 32 x 24 addition that was basically a home build from the ground up. I am still surprised for the size of this project how stress free the process was. Matt was very detailed and checked in on everything to make sure we were getting what we wanted. In the end he asked us to make a list of anything that needed to be addressed and there was absolutely nothing to mention. They did a perfect job, the quality of the work is amazing, and the entire team was very nice, professional, and trustworthy! I absolutely recommend this company to others and will definitely use them again in the future!"

"We could not be any happier with Steve! He is a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable he takes his time to explain things to his 2 guys. They are neat and clean up every day. Helped me pick tile and grout. From the demo to the finish line totally satisfied. This was my 1st Home advisor project. Complete remodel of master bath and replace hardwood floors in kitchen included removing granite and cabinets and reinstalling. We were told by others it couldn t be done or it would break or be uber expensive. Also new powder room and extending hardwood in hallway. Next spring he ll be back for another bathroom remodel. Excellent quality and attention to detail. You will be very happy if you choose SD Remodeling. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!"

"Javier personally handled the entire project. He renovated 31 year old bathroom vanities and in terms of quality and appearance these cabinets are better than new. We would highly recommend Perfect Kitchens and Bath for an extensive remodel. Quality components, outstanding prep work, and experienced installation all contributed to the final result. Javier is patient, an excellent listener, and delivered on all aspects of the renovation as promised."

Small jobs welcome

"Our primary and guest bathrooms need to be redone. We found EK Dickens Renovations on Angie’s List. It is not easy to find a true craftsperson today, but to find a tre craftsperson whos is absolutely meticulous in the craft and also has the eye of a decorator is neigh impossible. However, we found one. Emmanuel (Manny) DIckens is just such a person. He did every bit of work himself. He removed all of the old fixtures and all the trash accompanying all the new additions, his work on the two bathrooms exceeded our expectations. He listened to our requests, made suggestions and kept our residence immaculate. I we could give Manny 10 stars, we would!! Sage Taylor and Garrett Woznicki Avondale, PA"

"Tom, Eileen and their team are super responsive, I always felt like they were on top of everything and were organized, which was really important to me. Tom helped me realize my dream to literally move my kitchen to a new location was possible, and they led us through the design process being we don’t have an “eye” for design. During covid summer all of their workers were very professional. You’re in good hands with this team!"

"Philip helped us change a cabinet board under the sink which was damaged by a water leak. He has a lot of knowledge and experience. The price is reasonable. We plan to hire him for our house maintenance and remodeling job in the future."

FAQs for kitchen remodel projects in Coatesville, PA

Your galley kitchen needs adequate clearance around any island installation to maintain functionality. Most galley kitchens lack sufficient width for traditional islands, as these layouts prioritize efficiency in smaller spaces.

If your kitchen has an unusual width, consult with a kitchen designer who can evaluate your specific dimensions and recommend appropriate solutions. For narrower spaces, consider alternatives like rolling carts or narrow work tables that provide additional surface area without permanently restricting movement.

Kitchen remodels require six to 10 weeks for completion, though timelines vary based on project scope and material availability. Simple updates like cabinet refinishing and countertop replacement might finish within a few weeks, while comprehensive renovations involving structural changes often extend beyond two months.

Planning stages add approximately four weeks before construction begins. Maintaining clear communication with your contractor and ordering materials early helps prevent unnecessary delays.

Common errors include insufficient clearance between opposing countertops, inadequate lighting that creates shadowy work areas, and poor storage planning that leaves countertops cluttered. Some homeowners select oversized appliances that overwhelm the space or invest in expensive features that don't address fundamental workflow issues.

Careful planning, accurate measurements, and consultation with experienced professionals help avoid these pitfalls and ensure your renovation successfully addresses your kitchen's specific challenges.

Whether expansion makes sense depends on your home's layout, your budget, and your long-term plans. Combining a galley kitchen with neighboring spaces creates more open, flexible layouts that many buyers prefer. However, removing walls involves substantial costs, particularly if they contain plumbing, electrical systems, or structural elements.

Sometimes, optimizing your existing galley layout through better storage solutions and lighting proves more cost-effective than expansion. Consult with a contractor to evaluate specific costs for your situation.

Effective galley kitchen lighting combines multiple sources to eliminate shadows and create visual spaciousness. Overhead fixtures provide general illumination, while under-cabinet lighting illuminates work surfaces directly. Consider recessed ceiling fixtures that don't protrude into limited headspace.

Lighting with dimming capabilities allows adjustment for different activities. Reflective surfaces like glass tile backsplashes or glossy cabinet finishes help bounce light throughout the space, reducing the corridor effect common in galley layouts.
