"When you hire a contractor most people are looking for someone they think will do good work at a fair price. I don't think most people think about the fact that they are inviting the contractor and his crew into their homes and their lives 5 days a week for several weeks. Our basement is gorgeous. The price was fair and Gus, Chris, Tom, Fernando, Louis, and Lou were all a pleasure to work with. I had gotten three similar prices from three contractors who all seemed nice. I was a little more interested in hiring Gus because I thought his experience as a cabinet maker might come in handy. I made the right choice. He has an eye for detail and will do something a second time if it doesn't look visually appealing. He had some good ideas and we went with most of them. We have a support beam that he actually enlarged. There is no way to hide it so he made it look like it belonged there by making it match the style of the shaker cabinets. He also dressed up the side and back of the peninsula by making them look like the shaker cabinets. The project evolved as we went along. Some interior walls came down and Gus suggested that we not replace them. That was a great idea. After the initial demo and waterproofing, it was fun to come home and see what had been done each day. I know Gus looked forward to our reaction and I think the other guys did too. Gus made it clear that he wanted us to be 100% satisfied with everything. That involved making some changes as we went along. Even his crew felt the same way. I was disappointed because I felt the medicine cabinet I had picked was too big for the small bathroom. Chris said that was no problem. They took it down, repaired the wall and hung the mirror I bought to replace it. We needed a new, clean waterproof basement but, I didn't think we were going to spend much time down there. I was wrong. The aqua colored walls and everything else is so bright and gorgeous that we are down there almost every evening."

"If you are considering custom cabinets you CANNOT go wrong working with Glenn. It can be a little scary not seeing something before it is made but let me say I literally teared up when my kitchen cabinets were delivered. They are stunning. Glenn helped us with the design of each cabinet, what we needed it for, whether to do rollouts or drawers, solid doors or glass, even how deep we wanted them. At one point I stated that I wanted a contrasting island (we did light gray shaker cabinets) and he suggested selecting a natural wood that we liked and doing a clear finish to bring out the natural beauty. We went with a Walnut island and I know this will be something everyone asks about- it really makes the whole kitchen. I could not be happier with the choice to have Glenn create our cabinets, by far the best decision we made in our kitchen redesign."

"Greatly exceeded our expectations! Based on our initial conversation with Jaye, he provided several drawings so we could get an idea of how what we ask for would actually look -- very helpful. The project included tearing out an older dog shower, replacing an exterior door to the room, replacing roll tile with ceramic tile, and adding storage cabinets and granite counter tops. Also, he relocated some plumbing fixtures and an electrical outlet so they would be more accessible for the new (not built-in) dog shower. Finally, he replaced the sink, repainted the room and did a number of other tasks -- too many to list. Jaye was extremely professional. Over the period of the project, he arrived precisely when he said it would, kept the work area spotless, and hauled away the debris each day. The finished room was beautiful and the craftsmanship was superior. We definitely recommend Willow Tree. In fact, we plan to have Jaye redo two bathrooms."
