"Samuel is extremely competent, timely, responsive, and transparent. Unfortunately, we had a roof installed a few years ago by a company who cut corners, and STMZ came to repair two separate leaks in the “new” roof. He documented every step of the process with photos, and explained what he was doing. (Most contractors, in my experience, do not take the time to explain the process to you!) I highly recommend his services, and if we ever need to replace the roof, STMZ will be the company we will call."

"Larry did a great job at an exceptionally good price. I needed my vinyl repaired on my chimney due to storm damage and he was able to hunt down matching siding (20+ years old) and did an exceptional job in a short time. Yes, I would definitely hire him for repairs around the house as well as the siding."

"Tramco did a very professional job on my home. At my request, Tramco used Sherwin Williams Duration paint. The job was in some respects difficult given configuration of home but they rented a 45 foot lift to stay off metal roof and paint upper gables. Any concerns immediately taken care of, and the owner Terry Tramel has very high standards and personally inspected the work twice daily and at the end of the job. Without my request, additional areas were repainted as directed by Terry to ensure a top quality job. I contacted other local contractors and they didn't want to fool with lift and rather wanted to put ladders on my metal roof, but Tramco agreed best to use lift. I have high standards, and this is the firm I will use in the future. <br />"

"They responded promptly to my call and made an appointment for an estimate. The work was scheduled and done not only quickly, but professionally. I was very impressed with the solution to my water issues. The bathroom looks great. The added shelves to my entertainment center give it a whole new functionality and saved me the cost of replacing a nice piece of furniture. I would recommend them for any job big or small. They are currently building a carport for my next door neighbor. <br />"

"My wife and I bought a retirement home in Ocean Springs that was flooded by Katrina.  The home was under 5 feet of water and unoccupied for years.  We solicited several quotes and Emmitt Christie's (Just Fix It) was by far the most competitive.  We were located in Columbus, Ohio during the duration of the remodeling (May 2013-Sept. 2013).  Because we were not familiar with the area or contractors in the Misssissippi Gulf Coast, I was apprehensive about hiring and trusting any company to take care of our investment, especially since we weren't there.    However, that all changed with Emmitt.  We could tell him what we wanted done, when we want it done and he would give us a very good price for the job.  We could trust Emmitt to do the job right, on time and without us being there.  Although his price and quality of work was very good,  the fact that we could trust him is what makes him very valuable.  Some of the work that he performed on our home included:  New roof, new wiring, new drywall, some new plumbing, installed kitchen cabinets and counters, bathroom vanitys, designed and installed a new slate walk-in shower, built a deck, installed electrical panel boxes, ceiling lights and fans throughout the home and converted the garage into a den and laundry room.  The bottom line is I would highly recommend Emmitt's company, Just Fix It, for any job, big or small. <br />"

"Overall, I would not have used anyone else for my new home. JOHN HERRINGTON is the greatest. He always has a smile on his face too....that counts so much. He does fine quality work and has an awesome price to save you money. WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR IN BUILDING A NEW HOME? Also, if he has to go out and do a little something extra, he does not add to your bill. HE IS JUST THE BEST. I know the Hattiesburg and especially OAK GROVE area has many contractors with BIG NAMES and advertisements. JOHN HERRINGTON gets work by word of mouth. He does not have the overhead expense of big advertisements...he does not need that. He has more work than he can do because of his fine reputation."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Collins, MS

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
