"Greg showed up - precisely on time, first thing in the morning, I might add - and went right to work. He explained how hyrdostatic pressure works against concrete and advised that the hole may not be source of the water after all, or at least not the only source. He told me how I could repair it myself, easily and inexpensively, with injection concrete. He was straightforward in saying it might not get the job done, though, and explained what would be involved in digging out a well for a sump system if the water returned. The estimated hassle and price was far less than I was expecting to hear, and if I need future help, I will definitely contact A Better Crawlspace to do the work. After spending half an hour explaining everything to me, Greg wouldn't accept any payment because he hadn't done any work. I was floored by his candor and honesty, It's a rare thing to find a company that won't rook you for a job you may not even need, and then walk out the door none the richer for sharing valuable experience. Mr. John Sherlock arrived at the time and date specified to give us an estimate.  He returned the following day with his assistant and performed the job in one day.  He installed 26 copper lightning rods on the flat roof of our 7,000 square foot home.  These rods were connected with 500 feet of heavy duty copper cable and were grounded at three points with ground rods going down through the drainpipes into the ground. All parts of the system were securely attached to the roof.  He did a neat job and cleaned up all excess materials.  We were very pleased with the job him did.  Since installation of the lightning rod system we have had no trouble with lightning striking the house or causing power outages or surges.

"I have had them for 19 years. I have had a number of issues, primarily with my air conditioning systems. It can be really costly to repair, so I have kept my policy intact. They have also made repairs to my microwave oven, my garage door a couple of times, plumbing, and electrical. They are always there for me and have been pretty responsive to get somebody to come out and fix whatever is broken. It can be as quick as the same day or 2-3 days later, it all depends on when I call and what type of service I am asking for. You have to go through a call center and push this and that. The call center could use some improvement. It's like a robo call. Once you talk to a human, they are pretty professional."
