"They were amazing and very quick to get done. My lawn looks amazing! It’s so pretty that it looks like a beautiful picture from a book. All my sprinklers are all working again and my valves are not leaking anymore. I’m very happy with the results."

"This company is run the way a company should be ran. The workers were here on time, they did exactly what they were suppose to do. Seth said it could take 3 days to get the work done, they got it done in 2 days. We are very happy with their work, I would highly recommend Seth Pompey Landscaping. This will be our go to landscaping company. We found it very hard to find someone who would fix the pools tiles, everyone we called said the job was too small or we only redo pools, we couldn't even get a handyman out. Thank You Seth! <br />"

"They are a strange bird. The rep. informed me that they actually don't perform the work, but they simply refer local contractors for the jobs you need done.  I don't see how this fits within the Angie's List schematic, seeing that the jobs are then performed by contractors who are not listed here."

"This company made my floor look new again. Some cracks were very wide and while they haven't become invisible, the work has resulted in even the worst areas now being all but unnoticeable. The staff was prompt, efficient, extremely courteous. They moved all the furniture in the affected rooms outside, and put everything back in place with great care. I can't praise this company more highly. I will definitely use them again to keep my floors looking great."

"Pricing is right in there with everybody else that is licensed, bonded and everything. Everything that most people complain about with contractors, like taking your money and never showing up or not getting done on time, He did everything on time. No big overruns, no lateness. It was a well managed job."

"I highly recommend Cavalier Builders, Inc. They just remodeled our kitchen while we remained living in our house. Cavalier’s crew removed the wall between the dining room and kitchen, took the floor down to the floor boards, re-arranged all the utilities/appliances, replaced/resized the window, installed a tankless water heater, installed new lighting, brought everything up to code, pulled all the permits and so much more. We now have a brand-new kitchen, pantry and dining room. David’s crew always showed up on time, were professional, and always left our home neat and livable. He always returned my messages quickly and always answered any questions we had during the construction process. Cavalier Builders finished the entire job on schedule without any problems or concerns. The best part was how nice David was along with his entire crew. I will definitely use them the next time we need this kind of work done."

"Wonderful. Planet Stone has a vast selection, from various vendors. Has samples that are handy enough to give you a good idea on how the countertop is going to look. No pressure and Karen was awesome to work with. Great price as well. Was very happy with how the countertops came out and more importantly the price that I paid!"

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Colton, CA

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
