"Read reviews on Angies List and called him for the above jobs.  He came out Friday and gave me an estimate which included all parts (I had a new mailbox, but not the post or concrete ) and labor.  Said he would be here between 8-8:30 A. M  on Monday.  He arrived at 8:10 and installed a new fan motor in  my bathroom exhaust fan (saving me $88-the cost of a replacement fan).  Then his helper came and took out the old mailbox & dug the hole and set the post for the new one.  Then they were both on the roof repairing our gutter/downspouts.  They then came inside and removed my bannister railing.  He patched the holes while the other man installed the new mailbox.  They then drilled and positioned the bannister into the actual wall studs, added two new brackets, After the bannister was reattached he went to the store with a sample of the paint and came back and painted the patched holes in the stairwell.  We have a 160 year old house with plaster walls and 11 foot ceilings and repairs are seldom simple. There are 18 steep steps in the stairway so its a long railing.  Bob was great....they were cleaned up and gone by 12:30 or so.  Everything went smooth...they are clean, neat, and know what they are doing.  I would hire him again without hesitation,  In fact I plan to do just that when I have another short list of things to do."

He did all building of the bar, flooring, installed lighting, wall coverings, electrical, plumbing, etc. His work and attention to detail are amazing. "I'm completing this review for may sister Barbara G. , Parma Ohio who is 82 year old, on a fixed income, is legally blind, and does not have access to the internet. Alan Luf did several projects for my sister starting in 2012. All of them satisfactory. So she did not hesitate to contact him to renovate her kitchen. Work started mid Aug 2019. Most of the work was completed in Aug 2019. He was paid in full because he promised to return to complete the job. Contractor returned in Oct 2019 to compete work - backsplash and molding and trim. Backsplash could not be completed because one box of the blacksplash material was the wrong style. Contractor had to reorder to complete the work. My sister spoke to the contractor several times from Oct 2019 thru Mar 2020. He said he had the correct backsplash and would be over to complete the job. He was always a 'no show'. He now does not return her phone calls. Contractor is accepting work from other customers and completing those jobs, but he is either unable or unwilling to complete the kitchen project for my sister. At this point she is asking him to give her all materials needed to complete the work plus a refund so she can hire another contractor to complete the kitchen renovation. I have sent hm a message on Facebook, wrote a review on his Facebook page, sent him a certified letter regarding return of materials and a refund. There had been no response from him."

"I had a big name waterproofing company out several years ago that did work on two walls of my house and continued to have problems with leaking. They did come back a few times and tried to repair but never could get it sealed properly. After paying a annual fee to keep a warranty for a problem they couldn't repair I decided to get a few contractors out and look to get another opionon. Buckeye Waterproofing was by far the most experienced of them and explained everything that was going on so I and my son-in-law could understand and make sense. They told me what was needed to be done to repair what previous company did and what would be needed for the rest of the house. After sitting with Rick from Buckeye I had decided to have them do the work because he made me feel so comfortable with the work he would be doing and gave me the best price of the quotes we had. Everyone else wanted to do start from scratch and do previous work I had done over while Rick explained he could repair the work and save me some money since I had already paid for work years ago. The crew Rick sent was prompt,clean and very respectful of my house and I was extremely satisfied with work they did. It has now been 2 months since the work was done and everything has been dry with no issues at all on the new work that was done or the repairs to the old work that the other waterproofing company did and couldn't figure out how to repair. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and have already sent them a friend to have work done as well.

"We originally did a report on this company when the work was performed. We rated this company all A's. About 6 months after the install, we noticed that a tile was cracked but we did not do anything about it. A year after the install, we called Tip Top Tile back to the house because we notice there were about 10 tiles cracked. He came to the house and very quickly indicated that it was not an installation problem that it was a problem with our tiles. He indicated that they were poor quality. He also stated that there was nothing more he could do. Bob never informed us when he was installing the tiles that they were of poor quality. Actually, he said they were average quality. If he would have indicated that they were poor quality, I would have purchased new tiles. Bob also never made us sign anything indicating that the tiles were poor quality and that he was not responsible if there was a problem down the road. Here we are three and a half years later and approximately 30 - 40 percent of our tiles are cracked.There are jagged edges and we have cut ourselves while cleaning the floor. It is very dangerous and the floor has to be replaced. We contacted other installers and each installer indicated Bob did a poor job because he did not put thin set down before he put the cement board down. Bob cut corners and we are now paying for it. The floor is still shifting due to the heating and cooling and the tiles are cracking. Average price to have my floor ripped up and a new floor installed is approximately 8,000 to 10,000. We contacted an attorney and discussed the case with him. The attorney agreed that corners were cut and that it was the fault of the installer. The only problem is that we only had two years to seek legal action and we were to late. If you use Tip Top Tile, please beware. We will not use him again."

"Quick service, answered all questions.  They arrived on time and did a great job.  We had just moved into the house and the tub/shower in the guest bath looked "tired" and had some dings in it.  They repaired and refinished it.  The price was exactly as quoted.  The time of arrival and the time to completion were exactly as stated.  Left no mess - very neat.  There was a slight "chemical" smell after they left but it quickly dissapated.  And, most importantly, the tub/shower/surround look brand new!  Would recommend to others.
