"Couldn't say more good things about our experience. We were able to schedule an appointment quickly for the work we needed done and Mr. Gaskins was prompt. He did a great job on the work and had really reasonable prices. I know people turn to Angie's List and other review sites because it can be so hard to find a trusted professional (and to avoid feeling like you've been ripped off). Well, AABCO Plumbing is that trusted professional. They get our 100% vote of confidence and we'll definitely be calling again for any and all future plumbing needs."

"The Estimator was very nice and responded quickly to setup the visit and schedule the work for an old DC home with galvanized piping. The 2 installers (one very nice - Chris) did good work and cleaned up well, but didn't communicate the issues that popped up! This was irritating. They left although there were leaks and sewage coming through the kitchen sink when you turned on the bathroom sink etc. The installers claimed someone was scheduled to come the next morning, but that wasn't true because of the communication issues. Also, they promised a plumber would show up on the same day as the stoppage, but they never showed up or called. They apologized the next day, but my elderly mom still couldn't use her bathroom on the 2nd floor and had to go down to the basement to use the restroom for 5 days. They even mentioned that I had to pay for snaking the pipes although we had no blockage until the installers finished their work. The Estimator got an installer/repair tech Chris Hardesty (2nd Chris in the company) to snake and remove the stoppage (for free how nice) and fix all of the remaining issues. He is a great tech!!! He is the reason I gave an overall rating of a B. He was an "A" but the other service averaged to a "B". Thanks Chris!!! If you don't have an older home, then you should be fine, but if you do good luck with finding out promptly."

"This is really a great company. Super-responsive, fair prices, and, most importantly, quality work done by knowledgable and hard-working folks. I initially called about a leaky kitchen faucet and the owner contacted me right away and was at my house within the hour. He diagnosed my problem immediately, recommended a solution, gave me a reasonable estimate, and said it would be taken care of that day. I was so impressed that I decided to ask for a quote on replacing an aging sump pump and water heater. I wound up having those replaced as well. They also installed a frost-free spigot in front of the house when I mentioned the issues I was having with the ancient "vacuum breaker" that sprayed water everywhere and that I simply could not remove myself. Now flash-forward to 2 weeks later: I detected a water-stain on my living room ceiling which I deduced was probably coming from an upstairs toilet. I called after hours and left a message describing the problem. The owner called me early the next morning and sent sent somebody out immediately. The issue was determined to be a deteriorated "wax ring". Rather than doing a repair, I decided-- at no urging from them-- to have both of the 30-year old toilets in my house replaced with new units. The job was done quickly and professionally in just a couple of hours. Few things are as stressful to homeowners as plumbing and water-related issues. However, it is a relief to know that there are competent, responsive professionals out there like Kelly that you can turn to when the need arises."

"I was contacted immediately by company and was given a service date for about a week later. I wasn't home when service was performed, however the house was nice and clean when I arrived home from work. I could not see any part of the house that was dirty or missed. What can I say? Nice job!

"Amazing service!  I couldn't speak higher of this company and its team.  I had a sewage overflow in the basement bathroom while I was away for the weekend.  When I came home I found the floors covered with all the disgusting materials you can think of (feces, urine, etc.).  Keep in mind that my toddler?s playroom is in the basement!  The smell was so bad it reached the living room upstairs.  I searched on Angie?s List and came across this company.  They were the most responsive ones in trying to head out to my house that same day.  The project manager (Mr. Pedro Guillen) called me and explained in great detail the clean-up process and options ? he was very patient and able to answer all the questions I had!  I am pregnant and was worried about the health consequences of the situation ? and I was desperate to have it cleaned up asap.  Mr. Guillen was incredibly flexible and responsive, with fabulous customer service skills.  He came after office hours with a team and began the clean-up process.  They returned the next day and finished cleaning everything extremely thoroughly.  They removed the carpet, cleaned the floor and furniture, put the toys away in boxes, and disinfected the area, brought in fans and all necessary equipment.    One of the technicians (Junior is his nickname) was also outstanding, going out of his way to help me bring the toys and other materials upstairs (I can?t carry weight b/c of pregnancy).  They left the fans working for a few days and when it finished drying they came and removed all equipment on time.
Disaster Response Inc. is an outstanding company to work with ? they have fabulous customer service.  They were detailed and thorough in their work, always arrived at the time we agreed, they protected my floors so they wouldn't get dirty while bringing in equipment, and they removed all the trash.  Even though they are a large company the service I received was very personable and responsive ? I highly recommend them for any water restoration work of further repair! :)

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Compton, MD

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
