At two feet they were crawling on their bellies. The three arrived at my house on time, Chris explained exactly what was to be done and the three of them completed the job in a most professional manner. I inspected the crawlspace when the job was completed and was amazed at the workmanship that was done. My family owned a dairy farm. Grandpa had his own cattle but he and my Uncle also ran a "milk route". They picked up milk from other farms all over middle TN. We delivered it to a processing center along with our own milk.\n\nI learned to take care of the equipment on this farm not long after I could walk. Along the milk route, it soon became obvious to me, even as a young boy that proper maintenance sure saved a lot of time and trouble.\n\nThat lesson served me well throughout my life. As a very young man, I joined the service. I found it easy to fall into a structured routine, I grew up that way. Later as I learned various trades my attention to detail and regimented style of learning and doing made it easy for me to retain and reuse my new found knowledge. And today, as I comb over a cabin for signs of potential problems or I am building a deck or other project ... I find it's the lessons of my youth that keep me on track.\n\nI named my business Arlis, because it was my dad's name. He's not with me anymore and I miss him. My Dad never did anything half-way. So naming my business after him reminds me of the lessons he taught.
