"I'm very happy with the work that was performed by Standard Insulating Company. Communication was very good, as they insulated our walls and attic on our remodel. The work past code requirements with no problem."

Customers say: Quick response

"Hunter Green Foam was fantastic to work with. Shane is a friendly and approachable guy who answered all of my questions and I always felt like he had time to spend with me when he was on the job site. He was thorough in explaining what the job would entail, he gave an estimate on site the first time he came over, and he and his crew spray foamed the whole house in a day after quoting me for two days. Amazing. On top of that he handled a fussy inspector like a pro, and we passed inspection with flying colors. Even without interior wall board up, when the doors are closed, the quietness is kind of mind boggling. Everyone knows that foam is efficient, but what I didn’t expect, is the peaceful quality to the atmosphere in the house. The sound really changed. I love it. It also makes music sound great, even from our job site radio. The house feels great, and I highly recommend Shane and his crew. I really enjoyed working with this team. Five Stars all around."

"Southeastern Landscape was employed to design and install an exterior drainage system to prevent storm water from collecting in an area between our home and detached garage where there was no practical means of removing significant ponding. This undrained water eventually made its way into the wrapped and environmental conditioned crawl space area under the main house. "

FAQs for spray foam insulation projects in Concord, NC

Local and federal rebates are available for insulation installation, which can significantly reduce your overall costs. Many utility companies offer incentives or rebates to homeowners who improve their home's energy efficiency. Contact your local energy provider or government agencies to learn about available programs in your area, and consult with a professional insulation installer to maximize your savings.

It's not necessary to remove old insulation before adding new insulation, as long as the existing insulation is in good condition—dry, free of mold, and not damaged. Adding new insulation on top of old insulation can improve your home's energy efficiency by increasing the overall R-value. However, if the old insulation is wet, moldy, or damaged, it's best to remove it before installing new insulation to prevent potential health risks and ensure optimal performance.

Insulating a house takes between five and twelve hours for batts or boards, and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. The exact time depends on the size of your home, the type of insulation, and the accessibility of the areas being insulated. Keep in mind that projects may take longer if old insulation needs removal, if there's a larger square footage, or if spaces are difficult to reach.
