"I called Emergency Plumbing and Sewer, and they had someone out that day. The worker asked a couple of questions, looked at the pump, and agreed with my assumption that there was a leak. I also suggested that it might be in this deep mound of dirt behind the house because we had seen some water on the patio adjacent to this area. He agreed that the leak was probably there, but said he had no way to get to the pipe and fix it. He put a call into someone else who I thought was a part of this company, but turned out to be some guy who owns a landscape company with a backhoe (who came that day, but ran me around like crazy, asking tons of questions, and charged me $650.00 to dig up the area and fix the pipe). That was all that was done by Emergency Plumbing and Sewer, so not sure if I would hire them again or not. They really didn't do that much. The guy with the backhoe seemed to think that they should have done more to assess what the problem was, like priming the pump and doing a little exploratory digging with a shovel in the area or the possible leak."
