"Jose and his team were the best team I have ever had work on a job in my house. Jose went WAY above and beyond to make sure we had our basement back in order in a timely fashion. He was willing to work after hours if needed to help get our finished basement back after we had suffered a sewage leak and had to wait until mitigation was complete. A 3-4 day job was complete in 2 days! And one of his workers, Carlos, from the second day stuck around to help me get the heavy and large items back into the basement. There was a previous review that said Jose was very emphatic to their needs and that is so true. That review actual was what made me give Jose a call. I wish there was a word better than highly recommend. Thank you Jose and your entire team!"

"Quite a few years ago, Artie renovated our bathroom.  Not only did he do a super job, but he made so many helpful suggestions along the way making decision making much easier.  For example, he suggested the type of tub to install and ones to avoid.  He helped us order merchandise and we were able to get a contractor's discount! 
     Recently we wanted to add a stone grilling station and a gazebo to our yard.  Everything I shopped for, I did not like or it was way over priced.....Artie sat with me and helped design a BEAUTIFUL, river rock-blue slate grilling station.  Once again, he directed me where to get the grill, type of grill, what to avoid and what would look best.  He takes the time to listen and know exactly what the customer is looking for.  He made everything by hand and the result shows....We get so many compliments from it!  He is currently completing a Tiki Hut Bar/Gazebo........when it came to ordering the tiki hut straw for the roof, Artie took it upon himself to google information online and forward me what he had found.....this made it so much easier on my part!  The bar came out great!!!
     Not only is Artie extremely talented, but he is so easy to work with, is very professional,responsible and shows up for a job when he says he will.....when do you ever get that?????  I HIGHLY recommend Artie Derosa!!"

We all hear horror stories about contractors not calling you back or not showing up on time or showing up at all. Not these guys! It was devine intervention that days after the storm the president of Homes and Beyond was given the wrong address to provide an estimate for a basement remediatioon job in my Rockaway neighborhood. When he knocked on my door, we struck up a conversation. I showed him my basement. He was reluctant to take a downpayment from me because I had never met him before, had no references for him, and he didn't want to spook me. Nevertheless, I had a good feeling. I gave him a deposit which he said he would not cash until I had checked out a few references. I went to the homes where he was in the process of doing work, made a few calls, and liked what I heard. He did an excellent job on the basement gutting and remediation. I then hired him to do the outdoor repairs from falling trees and to do the one floor (including new base molding, sheetrock, insulation and painting) inside my house that had water damage. He is currently in the process of renovating my basement, which includes walls (framing, sheetrocking and some cement skim-coating) floor, ceiling, insulation, etc. All of his workers must be given some kind of orientation because they are all super considerate, very neat, etc. I have no complaints and would certainly recommend Homes and Beyond.

They helped me with several projects in my home, including mounting two TVs, installing a shoe rack, hanging a very heavy mirror, putting up window shades, and installing several shelves.
