"Good: Right on time, professional, and quickly changed out the springs. Concerning: Initial quote on the phone was anywhere between $59 and $189 to repair a broken spring plus service call fee. When technician arrived, it was recommended both springs be replaced, which makes sense but this was not mentioned on the initial estimate. Since the part number and length/gauge of spring details were left by the technician, I browsed for the same springs on line and found the pair at a third of the cost (>$100) but Ameriserv did not directly explain why the spring cost was so high compared to what I found online. I received one email reply after about a week later and it only asked if we had spoken via phone. After I replied to that response, I received no further communication. They also offered a warranty for the springs/door for $89 a year, but after five years, that equals the amount of replacing both springs. Typical life for a spring is about ten years, I did not see the benefit in a warranty at that price."

"We have used these guys a couple of times for a couple of different projects. Tony specifically came out to do a small job for us in a home that we were getting ready to sale. We busted out a kitchen wall and he showed up and not only hung out new lights and installed our outlets but also told us the best way to re route our electrical for our stove for it to be stable. We used them again on a property that we just purchased where new electrical was being run. He came out and wired our meter for our temporary meter box and it passed inspections with out any issue at all. This company takes pride in their business and I recommend them over and over to people asking for trustworthy, dependable and affordable electricians."

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Cornelia, GA

Wiring conversions for relocating outlets require upgrading the existing wiring to the correct amperage before installing the new outlet. This step ensures that the circuit safely supports the outlet's power demand. Engaging a professional guarantees that the alterations meet current electrical standards, thereby ensuring a safe and efficient installation overall.

Installing an outlet can be completed in 30 minutes, but professionals charge a minimum labor fee covering one to two hours of work. This fee accounts for travel, setup, and any extra tasks that may be required during the installation process. Bundling additional services with the installation can lead to overall cost savings while upholding stringent safety standards.
