"I had never used my old basement and I decided to start use it but It needed remodeling. My neighbor recommended me Golden Line construction and after I saw their work on his house I hired them. They arrived on scheduled time and all employees were friendly, professional and helpful. There were some issues but working crew resolved everything easily. My basement looks amazing, better than I expected. Highly recommended contractor!"

"Do not use B.W. Tile. We paid him to complete a 2 bathroom job. He charged $17,000 for the two bathrooms. Every week he demanded money and he paid him a total of $16,500 in cash because he didn't want to claim it on his taxes. We kept asking when the second bathroom would be done. Two months later and we get a text (not even a phone call) stating he's decided NOT to do the 2nd bathroom. I requested my money back since he didn't do the job, and he refused. After screaming and yelling at me for 20 minutes, he refused to return our money so now we will be taking him to court. Way to go B.W. Tile!"

"These days, it’s not so easy to find a contractor who runs an operation that is solid, effective, and fair from top to bottom. Fortunately, I found one. Henry Guttierez has built a landscaping contractor service that runs like clockwork. His wife, Anna, runs the business side of things so Henry can give complete focus to the jobs. Crews are efficient, don’t waste time, and work together well. He charges a fair price, not too much, not too little, which is exactly what you want. And, any amounts that were added were completely expected and thoroughly discussed in advance. The communication was great, and the few times that there was a delay, I always had a very good idea when they were coming next. Honestly, hiring a contractor of any kind rarely goes so smoothly. If you have aspirations for your own landscaping, you really need look no further than California Custom Landscape."

"We had lightly colored carpets that had significant pet stains in some areas that we were afraid wouldn't come out. Enrique spent half a day working on the carpets and in the end, they looked brand new."

"I've done my fair share of remodels and renovations and have worked with a variety of contractors and sub contractors. Cavalier was by far the best I have worked with thus far. They were on time, under budget and provided impeccable service. They showed up every day, full crew and were responsive to every communication I sent. Now when have you ever experienced that?!?!? HIGHLY recommend."

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Corona, CA

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
