"I cannot say enough about Aaron Schwarder and Schwarder Construction. We bought a home that had not been updated since 1964. Plumbing included. Aarons crews redid both baths and the kitchen. Beautiful bright Carrera look tile, white counter tops, beadboard, wainscoting. New light and plumbing fixtures. Kitchen went from dark and cave like with fluorescent lights in plexiglass recessed ceiling thing, to raised ceiling, high end appliances, beadboard cabinets and an open to the dining room floor plan. Aaron was not satisfied with the cabinet surfaces and repainted them himself. All custom cabinets. Very important to me is the comfort level of having people working in my home. It can be awkward, to say the least. Aaron's guys are very respectful and always clean up at the end of the day, even if they are coming back in the morning. They were very careful not to let the animals escape. Recently I called the home depot pro desk with some questions about installing a new entry door and the first name they gave me was Schwarder Construction. I was raised to believe that a man's word is his worth. You can take Aaron at his word. 5 stars only because you cannot rate higher."

"Valentine & Blade did a fantastic job renovating our two-story deck. They efficiently demolished our old wooden deck and hauled it all away and redesigned and build a new deck using weatherproof Trex. They were very communicative and easy to work with. We couldn't be happier."

"Couldn't be happier with the service that was provided by Dustin and Gene.  They arrived on time and worked non-stop for 4 1/2 hours.  We had a LR ceiling fan removed and replaced with a new fan/light with remote.  The dining room chandelier and dimmer switch was replaced and a ceiling light in MBR replaced with a fan/light fixture.  In addition there were 23 outlets that were loose and needed replacing.  While one guy worked on replacing all of the outlets, the other installed the ceiling fixtures.  We had purchased all of the items from Home Depot but had not removed anything from the boxes.  They assembled everything and afterward carted away the old items as requested.  Now that is service.  And as if things couldn't get better, the final cost came in lower than the estimate.  Consider us very satisfied customers that will use Ponderosa for all of our electrical needs.

"Jill provided two different floor plans for us, and was very flexible, as far as working the option of piano into the room.  She responded to several follow-up questions I had, and provided suggestions for where to locate resources.  Jill was very easy to work with, and very accommodating. However, I found the process of working with a "virtual designer" to be a bit challenging for me.  That was definitely no fault of Jill's, thought.  I would use her again, particularly if I needed help with planning a room layout.

FAQs for major renovation multiple room service projects in Cottonwood, AZ

Gutting a house involves completely removing outdated elements, including drywall, insulation, and fixtures, to reveal the underlying structure. This process is not only ideal for a complete remodel but is also critical in emergency situations such as flood damage where compromised materials must be replaced immediately. Contractors follow OSHA-approved safety measures throughout the demolition to ensure a secure work environment. This method provides a fresh, safe canvas for any future renovation.

Gutting a house is a cost-efficient choice. Home renovations cost between $20,000 and $88,000 compared to the cost to build a new house of $122,500 to $411,500. The reduced cost stems from retaining the existing structural framework while updating the interior. Factors such as house size, material quality, and labor directly influence the total expenses, making a gut renovation a financially smart decision.

The cost of demoing an interior is worthwhile because gutting a house creates a completely safe and refreshed environment by removing toxic or damaged materials like asbestos, mold, and deteriorated components. Professional supervision ensures all hazards are properly managed and health and safety standards are met. This process revitalizes the home's interior and can increase its structural integrity and overall value.

Remodeling a bathroom costs between $6,640 and $17,600, with high-end remodels exceeding $30,000. The final price is directly influenced by the quality of fixtures and design features—modern tiling, advanced plumbing, and custom details all add to the definitive expense. By selecting superior materials and design elements, homeowners ensure both functionality and a remarkable aesthetic upgrade.

Kitchen renovations range from $14,500 to $41,500 when the original layout is maintained. However, changing the layout by removing load-bearing walls or upgrading to premium appliances directly escalates costs, often adding over $1,000 per modification. These precise enhancements reflect the high-quality standards and result in a transformative and efficient upgrade.

A full gut renovation typically spans between four months and a year and a half. This period accounts for the permitting process, material procurement, and the overall scale of the project. Every phase—from demolition through rebuilding—involves careful planning and execution to meet deadlines while ensuring the work adheres to safety and quality standards.
