"Wes and his crew have worked with us before (May 2016 - see prior review ) so our expectations were high based on the prior high-quality experience. They exceeded our high expectations in terms of quality and time to get the job done. His description of his company states 'we build your dreams' and this could not be more accurate. We thought about this space for quite some time and had very specific requests about building materials (we wanted Ipe hardwood and particular stones and particular lights and a particular avocado tree!). He took our poorly drawn sketch and turned it into our dream side yard. Turned out as we expected only the color of the wood really pops and looks amazing against the rock. As with the last job, he pays attention to all of the unseen structural details - the stepping stones are all cemented in and level, the planters - while appearing to be above ground - are all anchored and level. This team really does pay attention to detail and doesn't just throw things together. I have to say - I did not even bother getting a competing bid because our prior experience with Wes was so great and we are so happy with the quality of the work. We'll have him out one more time for a final project we have planned in a year or two - have to dream it up! I told Wes he is always welcome to use our yard as a 'reference' - it is a dream come true space."

"Communication with Gwyny was prompt and clear from the beginning--she quickly provided an estimate that included various options (including steps that had not occurred to me, but were very necessary), with the elements of the job separately priced, so I could select among them.  She and her workers showed up when scheduled, worked very diligently, and thoroughly cleaned the area afterwards.  I appreciated her input on how best to coordinate their work with the installation of fencing around the same area, and her flexibility in scheduling the work so that the combined taskes were performed in a logical sequence.  I reserved the fun and creativity of planning the plantings for myself, but I couldn't have done so without the beautifully prepared blank canvas provided by Bottoms Up!  (And who doesn't love that name!?!)
