"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"We couldn';t be happer with the work and results of the K&BO Team. Dennis, John, Josh and Chris performed a remarkable transformation of our 20 year old kitchen. Like a lot of us these days, we've had a plethora of bad experieinces everywhere from car dealer repairs, to restaurants, to retailers who fail to serve the customer and./or live up to their commitments - it'[s just hard to find people who will do what they say they're going to do these days. You can;t even get McDonalds to make a burger right any more. <br /> These guys renewed my faith that there are companies and people out there who will work hard to do the right things and do everything in their power tp exceedthe customer's expectations. AS with any job, there are always a few unforeseen obstacles. Dennis and his team didn't take short cuts or the easy route - they adjusted and took the time to do the job right. They accommodated all our adjustment requests and kept things cleaned up as much as possible given the scope of work. They never left a mess and made everything look like a totally custom install. <br /> Our custom cherry kitchen was showing it's age, and we wanted to refresh and also add upper soffit-level cabinets with glass doors and lights (I did install the puck light system), but they were kind enough to cut the recess holes for me.. We took a risk and had everything changed over to a satin white along with the new cabinets. We had a full U-shaped primary cabinet area, plus a fridge cove and pantry cabinet on another wall and a desk area with hutch doors and shelves across the kitchen. They did it all and with the dark hardware we had already replaced, it looks like a new end of the house !!!  We have a rolling 26" island cabinet we kept Cherry to ratain some contrast and consistency with the rest of the house and they refinished that piece to look like new as well. <br /> They worked soooo hard to make things look right, That's hard to find these days, so for us, we are super pleased and very thankful for all the work they guys put in. THANKS Dennis, John, Josh and Chris (& Doug, too :-) ) <br />"

"My wife is very happy with the results.  We talked with Brent about our ideas and he told us what would work within our budget.  We decided to use the existing door and door frame and have some minor cosmetic issue not he basement side of the door.  This saved us money and allowed us to move the fridge to the basement area, which opened up some more space in the kitchen.  It's been a few weeks and everything is working fine. <br />"

"Excellent work, for a great price. They be helped get our house ready to sell. Installed a new tub, replaced kitchen and bath flooring, made wall repairs, and did a great job on our front entrance. Would definitely hire again. Great guys to work with."

FAQs for cabinets repair projects in Coxs Creek, KY

The timeframe for kitchen cabinet removal varies significantly based on quantity and installation complexity. Professional contractors typically complete standard kitchens within 4 to 8 hours, though complicated configurations involving plumbing or electrical components may extend to 1 to 2 days. Homeowners tackling this as a DIY project should allocate substantially more time—often 1 to 3 full days—as careful extraction requires methodical work to prevent property damage.

Kitchen cabinets can indeed be salvaged for reuse when removed carefully. Construction material significantly impacts success rates—hardwood cabinets generally survive extraction better than composite materials, which tend to chip or break. For optimal preservation, document the original layout, remove doors and hardware first, then methodically detach units from walls and adjacent cabinets. Professional removal significantly increases the likelihood of successful cabinet preservation.

Disposal options for kitchen cabinets depend largely on their condition and your local waste management regulations. Cabinets in reasonable condition might find new homes through donation centers or online marketplaces. For damaged units, professional waste removal services offer convenience, while dumpster rentals provide flexibility for larger projects. Some municipalities offer special collection services for bulky items, though advance scheduling is typically required.

Wall damage during cabinet removal represents a legitimate concern for many homeowners. The risk varies based on installation methods—cabinets attached directly to drywall without backing supports pose greater challenges than properly mounted units. Professional removal minimizes damage through specialized techniques and appropriate tools. Even with careful extraction, expect some minor wall repairs. Older installations and homes with plaster walls require particularly delicate handling to prevent significant damage.
