"They did come out and do the work. Its been a year since I had them out I know I spent more, I had them do more work. They actually clean out and did a couple of faucets for me and they ended up breaking a counter top. And they had quite a time getting it resolved. They didn't want to pay for the, they broke a sink that's what they broke. The bathroom had two matching sinks and they couldn't match the sink and they didn't want to pay for two of them, they just wanted to do one and put an un matching sink in there. So I ended up paying for one sink, they paid for another and then they installed the faucets but it was not a great experience with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing."

"We needed someone to replace our windows, and a friend recommended EDI, we called them and they responded very quickly and gave us a good price to replace all our windows. Having them working on that, we have decided to go ahead and replace floors, added also an interior paint and install new lights in our kitchen, living room, bedrooms and hallway. "Wise Builders was recommended to us by friends whose neighbor had a kitchen remodeled with Nathan as project manager. I called Nathan and he came to our home to discuss a kitchen remodel the next day. We had some general ideas about what we wanted to do and Nathan gave suggestions. He had us pick out our new appliances first so we would have a better idea for colors in the kitchen. We then discussed also remodeling our bathrooms and creating a walk-in closet. We learned it would be more economical to do all the work at once rather than have them come back to do the bathrooms. We went online and selected several kitchens and bathrooms that we liked and told Nathan what we liked about them regarding design and colors. He brought in an architect since our ideas required moving walls. The architect created the plans, we approved the plans, then the city approved the plans and permits were issued. We went from a single sink to a double sink in our master bathroom. We added a shower in the downstairs bathroom. We added recessed lighting in every room in the house. We added three sun tunnels to dark areas in the upstairs. We added additional light switches in more convenient locations throughout the house. We replaced the old molding, baseboards and doors to something more modern. Next Nathan brought in a cabinet designer who did a brilliant job with the drawings for our new kitchen. All my requests were incorporated into the design. We went from having deep corner cupboards where I had to crawl into the cupboard to reach what was in the back to having pull out shelves and lazy susans. Nathan answered our questions and addressed our concerns. At one point, I changed my mind about a couple changes we discussed and Nathan said no problem, he wanted us to be happy. Once the permits were approved by the city, we did the shopping for tiles, slabs and plumbing. Since I had selected colors I liked, Nathan arranged to have tiles and countertops in my colors available to choose from. Nathan is good at design and was a big help in making the selections. On construction start day, a crew of about 8 men were waiting in front of our house a half hour before the time they said they would arrive. They had the demolition completed in about two days. Ever since then, the crew has worked diligently, even working overtime. The work looks very professional. We are so pleased with what has been completed so far. Nathan calls us regularly and gives us updates. When there have been any questions, we have had the opportunity to go over to the house and work with the crew to be sure things were done the way we wanted. The original estimate for the work was 3 to 3 1/2 months. We are now six weeks into the project and were just told today that work is ahead of schedule and we should be able to move back home in another five weeks. Add a photo Satellite"

"In addition to replacing all our windows in the house, we were starting a kitchen and masterbath remodel.  The timing of the window install was crucial to coordinate with the remodel.  We also wanted year end pricing, which was a substantial savings.  We interviewed two companies and chose SGK. We would have interviewed a third company to be thorough, but it was impossible to find another company that did new construction installation that fit our time line.  Rob Rowe (our salesperson) is an up front and "real" person.  Did not come across as a salesman or try to up sell us like the other company's representative.  The price was $8000 less than the other company for comparable windows (Anlin windows) and same type of installation.  

Our goal was to have all the windows installed before our remodel started, but the installation date was delayed due to the rain.  We were in contact with Deanne (not sure her actual title) at SGK many times to coordinate the installation and she spoke with our contractor to make sure the kitchen window was installed at the right time.  In fact, SGK installed the kitchen and bath windows earlier than the other windows to coordinate with the demo.  

This was the only real hiccup we had with the installation.  When the bathroom windows were installed, the edge of the window and sills were cut back too far due to something with the flange (sp?) nails.  This left a large gap between the window and the wood window sill.  A couple of the gaps were filled with caulking and another left with the large gap.  After discussion that this was not acceptable, a total of 3 window sills had to be replaced.  They now look good.  My take on this incident is that there was a lack of communication of why there were gaps when the windows were cut and it was not adequately communicated to us that the sills would be replaced at a later date (when the other windows were installed).  There Quality Control person (Edward) was called in right away and he came by the house multiple times  to ensure the installation was all done to our satisfaction.  The foreman on the job was Francisco.  Another worker named Manny was also very instrumental in making sure I was happy with the outcome.  
   
I was assured that this would not happen moving forward and all the remaining windows were installed without incident. We are having to do some minor paint touch up around most of the windows since caulking is used around the drywall and sills. The windows are beautiful (as much as vinyl can be) and the wood trim that was all replaced looks great.  It is primed and we still need to have it painted.  The old windows had condensation and were drafty.  The new windows have no draft and the house is noticeably warmer.  All our neighbors are commenting on our new windows.
