"I woke up around midnight to a chilly bedroom. My furnace had stopped working! It was about 15 degrees outside that night. After checking connections and fuses I decided I needed a professionals help and fast, it was approx. 62 degrees in my house and dropping. I remembered hearing about Angie's list on the radio and decided tonight was the right time to try out the site. I chose Windy City Mechanical Inc. based upon their proximity and flawless "A" reviews they received from ALL of their customers. I called around midnight and had a technician looking at my furnace in about 20 minutes! He was very friendly and took the time to explain exactly what he was checking. He systematically worked his way through all the essential components of the furnace until he found the problem. He found a wire that needed to be repaired and re-routed some others. He took out the flame sensor and cleaned it. He was very thorough and patient as he let the furnace turn on and off 3 or 4 times before he was satisfied it was working properly. The last time I had a different Company repair my furnace it was obvious that the technician was nothing more than a ?parts changer? as he simply kept running out to his truck replacing part after part until my furnace was working again. I was not convinced I had 3 separate parts that failed but was in the unfortunate position of having no heat. Windy City Mechanical was the exact opposite! True professionals in every aspect of the repair experience. I?ve had the pleasure to tell many friends and family members about my great experience.
