"So my husband hired Roy to remodel our entire bathroom. It started off well and towards the end Roy was becoming rude and sloppy when it came to finishing up. The tile in the shower wall was not level and the grout was not even. He refused to fix it. They also incorrectly caulked our tub and now we have had water damage for 2 years because we couldn't find the problem....they did not caulk the tub correctly and noticed it when we took the shower doors off completely. When we complain about the tile Roy also threatened us and told us if we took them to court we would not win. They are a rip off and do sloppy work."

You cut mirrors with a diamond saw and coat them with metal to create a reflective surface. A silver-backed mirror also requires a chemical process, though most mirrors have an aluminum backing now. A framed mirror can also add to the price.
To look for a quality mirror, consider its purity, flatness, thickness, and reflective coating on the glass. The glass purity can ensure a distortion-free reflection, and thicker glass can decrease the chances of distortion as well. The reflective coating makes a difference, and high-quality mirrors will have several thicker coats of reflective material, like tin-mercury, aluminum, or silver.
