"All Colorado Radon tackled a particularly difficult radon mitigation that other companies refused to mitigate. They were very thorough and knowledgeable. Most of all, they were successful in reducing radon levels to well below government standards. We would use them again."

"We were amazed and absolutely thrilled with the work done by Ace Radon. After I called, they set up a time to come out and see what was involved. The estimate was emailed later that same day. When we approved, they scheduled a time to do the mitigation. Both times men were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and neat. They explained what they were doing and answered all our questions. The before radon tested 7.6, and afterwards tested .7 Needless to say, we'd highly recommend them!"

"<br /> What was so great that he offered a whole service packed which includes radon and water tests. That helped us a lot since we heard that radon is a delicate topic here in Colorado. He recommended us also other professions to solve the discovered problems. <br /> <br /> Overall we really trust Nate and will hire him again for our next project! <br />"

"Had an awesome experience with these guys. We had to do both radon mitigation and sump pump installation. I called 5-10 different places to get quotes, they were the most affordable by a decent margin. Kratos was really great- he was on time, very friendly, wasn't annoyed by our dogs constantly being at his side, etc. He finished the job very quickly and gave great education on how the system works and what we should be looking for to ensure it's functioning well. Additionally, he randomly fixed an electrical issue we were having with some outlets! Totally not his job, but I asked him if he knew a good electrician and by doing some basic trouble-shooting he was able to fix it and save us the cost of having an electrician come by! Highly recommend these guys, no reservations whatsoever"

"Lance Hayward did a very thorough job, was punctual and responsive to all questions.  He was totally honest and open with everything. The inspection took 2 hours and at the end we received a detailed printed report and he emailed a pdf of that also.  On the radon, he did not just look at the mean level but how it fluctuated over time (max and min levels).  There may be a signifcant issue with the type of  siding on the house and he advised speaking to an expert .- which we are doing. <br />"

"Oscar did an excellent job with our home inspection. He was on time and very thorough. He walked us through the inspection and took the time to teach us the ins and outs of our future home. He took many photographs and explained the items he noted in each photograph. He checked all of our appliances, water pressure, electrical, and outlets. Our home is a brand new build but he managed to find several discrepancies that needed to be fixed. For an additional fee he conducted radon testing which provided the feedback for us to get radon mitigation installed. Oscar provided us with the full home inspection documentation within 24 hours and the radon documentation within 72 hours. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. Excellent work!"

FAQs for radon gas abatement projects in Cripple Creek, CO

The only way to know whether your home or water supply contains radon is to schedule a professional test. A qualified radon inspector will collect samples, deliver lab-verified results, and explain the findings for $150 to $800. Once you know your exact levels, you and your radon mitigation pro can choose the right system and tackle the problem before it affects your family’s health.

Both roles tackle radon, but they focus on different steps. Inspectors test your home, interpret the results, and determine whether levels exceed EPA guidelines. Mitigation pros design and install the system that lowers those levels. Some companies do both, but the skills and equipment differ, so always verify that the person you hire is properly certified for the specific service you need.

Installing a mitigation unit fixes radon problems by reducing indoor gas levels to established safe standards. A system designed and installed by a mitigation expert, tailored to your home's specific layout and foundation, guarantees effective radon reduction. This expert installation ensures consistent performance over time while safeguarding your indoor air quality.

Open windows and doors do not reduce radon levels because they trigger a pressure imbalance that draws radon-laden air into your home. This practice fails to control radon concentration and can even worsen the issue. An active suction mitigation system provides a proven, safe, and effective solution to reliably reduce radon levels.

Radon mitigation systems generally last between 10 and 30 years, depending on system type and maintenance. Passive systems endure the longest because they have no moving parts, whereas active systems, which use a fan, require fan replacement every 5 to 10 years. System components, such as PVC pipes, seals, and fittings, can remain effective for decades when paired with periodic inspections and proper maintenance.

Radon mitigation systems consume between 300 and 3,000 kWh of electricity per year, depending on fan size and system design. On average, an active radon fan draws 100 to 300 watts continuously, which translates to roughly 876 kWh annually, and adds $30 to $300 to your energy bill each year. Choosing a high-efficiency fan and ensuring tight sealing around pipes helps minimize these ongoing costs.
