"If it would be possible I could give more than 5 stars. Jeff and Connie are very nice people and incredibly knowlegable specialists. They went above and beyond, conducting inspection of our house. I invited them because of presence of mold and odors. The house was thoroughly inspected not only for those problems we concerned of, but for all other possible hazards. Jeff and Connie spent as much time at our house as it was needed to complete all the aspects of required inspection. Each room, even every little space, furnace, AC unit, stove, refrigerator were inspected. Shortly after appointment I got detailed reports with photos and multiple very helpful recommendations. Now we know what exactly should be done in the house and outside in order to eliminate negative issues found by Jeff who is an expert in all aspects, related to different systems of house. Jeff and Connie are very kind and intelligent people. It was a real pleasure to spend several hours with them at our house. This appointment was life-changing for us. I highly recommend May Idoor Air Inspections to all who would like to make sure that environment of living places is safe."

"This review is from a seller where an inspection was performed. The heat was not shut off after the inspection and my family and I walked into 90 degree temperatures because the heat was never turned off when the inspection was complete and it was on for 7 hours until we got home. In addition the mud room has a thermostat and electric heater and that was also left on high which we did not realize until the next day. In addition, to prove a point to a potential buyer he forced a hole through the wood in our detached garage reporting that there are signs of water damage. The garage is from 1930, there has been water in the garage especially when we had the hurricane last year but they could have just written that in the report not damage our property to prove a point. Coincidentally, the same inspector came back with another interested buyer and yet another piece of wood was pulled off from the garage. If that is not bad enough, the same inspector gave confidential information from a previous inspection to a new potential buyer which led to another buyer terminating the deal. I know this as our lawyer communicated with the potential buyers attorney and said that the inspector passed on information about a previous inspection he did at our house a week earlier.. in addition, our neighbor and friends were outside during the outside portion of the inspection and they heard the inspector give the potential buyers and their real estate broker information about the last inspection and what the other potential buyers said. So much for confidentiality."

"I would definitely hire Shoreline Environmental, again, if I needed to. This company sent two employees to do the job who were extremely polite, consciencious and skilled at renovation (carpentry and sheet rock) as well as mold removal. Soup to nuts. They wore protective masks whenever they were in my home whether or not in the basement or house. Their demeanor on the job was very professional. They re-explained what they were doing for containment to prevent mold spores from escaping. Prior to the job, the owner, Mark DeAngelis, thoroughly explained the process from beginning to end. We had two companies to choose from and chose this company because they were safe and able to do the complete job from remediation to renovation. The other company would have left us with the bare studs. Also, Mark did not have a high pressure approach and was patient with our repetitive questions. And he threw in a couple more repairs at no cost since they were there, already! During the job I learned that Mark's employees were employed for a very, very long time by Mark. NOT fly by nights! They had a mutual respect for each other which showed positively in their work attitudes. I have hired many companies and this one is a keeper!"

"I explained to Jeff that I had bought a new condo, which was new construction, and I had concerns that the HVAC was not properly working and I wasn't getting enough clean air. Jeff was able to come the very next day. He is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he does. He conducted many tests - toxic gas levels, dust, mold, dander, etc. After about 30 minutes of testing, he identified I had a slow gas leak in my gas fireplace, which apparently had not been installed right. He stayed with me while the gas company came to remedy the situation. I am so grateful for him or I would never have known about the leak, which was probably contributing to health issues I was having. He also was able to turn around the other lab results incredibly quickly. Several others in my building have since hired him. Can't recommend him enough."

"Ryan made it a priority to come by quickly to give me a quote to have white mold remediation done in our attic. His price was fair and we scheduled for the following week. The project lead Marvin was great. He and his team kept the area of the house they would be coming through protected and clean. The job took a bit longer then they anticipated, but the results were exactly as needed. I hope I never have to have this type of work done ever again, but if I did, I would rehire Mpire."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Cromwell, CT

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
