"Yabi & his helper came the same day I called, which was amazing, & finished their repair in about 45 minutes. They steamed open some frozen areas, vacuumed out dust, replaced some parts, explained what they were doing, & put it back together. They also found that the door of its bottom freezer wasn't closing on its own, as it should, & Yabi spent a few minutes adjusting the front legs & this resolved that problem. And the cost was less than I had expected. I am *really* pleased & will definitely call Yabi again if I have another large appliance problem."

"James is just perfect as a handyman/electrician. He was timely, reasonable and knowledgeable. He came up with solutions when problems arose and did not change the estimate on me at the last minute like some. When James left all the electrical work I requested was done, everything was cleaned up and worked perfectly. If you are in Northern IL/Southern WI, James is excellent!!"

"Eddy, who came with 17 years experience, was way off the charts polite, and was so good at explaining what was wrong and what he would do to fix it. This business is on our new favorite appliance repair go-to place. I will recommend them to others for sure. Their rates are very reasonable and fair. I so appreciated that they came in on Saturday, which was the same day we noticed our fridge not cooling either the freezer or the fridge. The fee for coming to check it out to analyze the problem and give an estimate of the cost is waived if you let them fix your issue. Apt was going to charge me 160.00 just for coming to assess the problem and give a quote, then charge on top of that for labor and parts. Thank you so much Eddy and West Suburban Appliance!!!!"

"Jorge was friendly and knowledgeable. Price seemed fair for installing a security camera for me, but we had to work out some challenges getting power to the right spot. Only gripe is that he didn't give a receipt for work done, sort of important for electrical work being done on the house."

"We had a wall charger installed for our Tesla, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The electrician was very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. The installation was done quickly and neatly, and everything works perfectly. Communication was great throughout the entire process — responsive, clear, and on time. Highly recommend this company if you’re looking for reliable and professional electrical work!"

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Crystal Lake, IL

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
