"Mr. Lemus has an excellent crew that gets right to work. We had 10 yards of mulch and three yards of Leafgrow delivered that morning and by the end of the day our flower beds were all edged and mulched, the lawn was aerated and has a top "dressing" of three yards of Leafgrow and the place looks fantastic. This was a long day for these guys -- finished up at about 6PM but wow I was super impressed. Mr. Lemus is friendly and very accommodating. His crew is polite and very respectful -- always yes, sir or yes ma'am. Really, I'd recommend them to anyone. The name says it all -- quality work at reasonable prices. Love these guys!"

"First, let me start off by saying that I have been very pleased with all of the company's employees, how I have been treated as a customer, and of the actual work your company preformed.     
 When I first trying to locate a company to run approximately 150 foot of drainage pipe across my side yard, through my front yard, and into an existing drainage culvert, I had no idea where to look. I asked some of my friends that have been in the area for a long time, and I received a few company's with whom never returned my calls.        One day running some errands I saw a Krause Construction in a parking lot of a local business. Since I had seen these trucks multiple times in the area I decided to go into the store and track him down and talk to him face to face. which just happened to be the owner of the company himself , John Krause. After explaining my situation to him , he asked me to contact his office and handed me a business card, At no point during this conversation did I feel like he did not want me as a client because of the small size of my project, it was at thus point that I realized I was going to have a good experience with the company as a whole.     I contacted the office a few hours later and spoke to a coordinate manager about the planned project. Her kind and friendly attitude immediately put me at ease and made me realize I was not speaking that treated me as the companies I mentioned earlier. Then an appointment was made and the appointed estimator was ten minutes early. The estimate was in hand within 48 hours and was what I expected. It then was discussed that I had a deadline I had to have the work done by. On the day the work was performed, the crew showed up on time (as stated in previous conversations) they were courteous to me and the needs of my family, they worked diligently without delay. When they left it was like they were never here. They cleaned up the site just as stated in the contract . They also disturbed as little of the lawn as possible while running the pipe. I had a very pleasant experience with Krause Construction They did not try to sell me something I didn't need and I would not hesitate to use them again nor would I hesitate to recommend them to friends or family.

"It took several weeks to schedule the appointment (Big Deal purchased on June 7; appointment was for July 10.) However, the crew showed up on time. But to my deep disappointment, there were some missed items from the priority list and other problems. Below is the email I sent to them on July 27, after the work was done. I also provided photos to support my email concerns. (see below) As of the date of this review, I have not received a response to my email, which really concerns me because the priority work as requested was not completed. And we have been extremely busy with elder care, leaving no time for yard care, which is the reason I used Angie's List in the first place. Email Sent July 27, 2017 @3:25PM Hi Jake – My apologies for this delayed message. I have been getting my Mother settled now that she is out of the hospital and I’ve been under the weather too. Overall, your crew did a nice job cleaning up my front beds and trimming the barberries, except that they missed a major bed. The bed in front of the house with the birch tree was not touched at all. It needs to be cleaned out and edged. I spoke to Mark during the job and he advised me that the weed liner in the bed closest to the street with the large rock should be removed. The liner was old and degraded. I asked would he have the time to remove the liner but only after everything else was done? He said yes. Well, the liner is gone, but the one other priority bed in front of the house was not done. And that is something I cannot physically do. Also, one perennial and two vincas were mistakenly removed from the large bed with the mailbox. I personally planted three vincas around the flat rock, but only one remains. (see photo) Two had not flowered yet, but your crew should know the difference between a weed and a flower. (That is why I don’t have Steve clean up the weeds.) Also, a small perennial bush was also removed, planted only a foot or two from the vincas. I don’t know the name, but it is the same bush that is behind the large rock. (See photo) In that same bed with the large rock, the solar landscape lights that highlight the rock and the decorative ball lights behind the rock were not reinstalled. Please come back and clean out the birch tree bed and set-up the landscape lights and balls in the rock bed as part of my deal. I will replace the plants. "Mark and his crew did an amazing job. Some highlights: 1) Mark's proposal was the most reasonable of the three we received. 2) Mark provided some design options and suggested we go to the local stone store to be sure we got what we wanted. We appreciated his suggestions as well as his respect for our choices. 3) Mark's crew was always courteous and thorough. They also cleaned up each day and happily hosed down our neighbor's driveway per his request. 4) A few times throughout the process we had new ideas to which Mark provided his advice and updated cost estimates. For an additional $850 we were able to add more value to the final product. All told, Mark and his team built four retaining walls, installed a patio under our deck, installed a landing pad outside our pool (with the extra pavers from the deck project), installed a paver walkway between our under-deck patio and the pool, regraded the yard, seeded and strawed the yard, and replanted some perennials that were displaced in the regrading. 5) Mark always kept us updated on progress - particularly important in this rainy spring."

"I purchased the big deal package for a tree crew for an entire day.  I needed a lot of work to trim and clean up the large trees in my backyard along with removal of a diseased tree and a couple of small (less than 6" diameter) trees.  Ben, the owner came by and determined that yes, the backyard could be completed in an 8-hour shift per the big deal.  He also gave me an estimate for another 2-hours and $400 to trim the trees in my front yard--which I accepted.  After winter weather delays, the crew arrived promptly on time and finished the front yard first. The owner does all the trimming work while his crew handles the ground work and limb grinding.   While the crew was there, I approved additional work to cut down four large and dangerous Polar trees for an additional of $1500.  All work was completed in a professional manner in accordance with the contract.
