"Our initial meeting with Suj was great. Initially, we had in mind a much larger job. He had quoted us $3000 for the closet demolition / wall rebuild (non-load bearing), packaged with several other items. Together with the fee for drawings ($4000) and permits, this was a bit higher than we anticipated. However, we decided to go with Suj due to his responsiveness and professionalism. Out of our other quotes, Suj’s pricing was middle of the pack - not the cheapest or most expensive. When the drawings were complete and evaluated, he gave us an updated cost of $6000 over text message. The scope of work had changed, and this was no longer part of a bigger project - understandable. The issue was when he gave us the official estimate a week later and up’d the price once again to $9000. When asked what happened, his exact words were “well, I need to get paid too”. He had weeks to consider before quoting the $6000 and nothing had changed since then. The extra $3000 may be insignificant compared to most renovation costs, but for us in our first home, this was back breaking. We continued with Suj since we were already locked in and well past the 3 day cancellation period. Their work for the most part was exceptional. The new wall blended perfectly into our existing structure, and the ceiling patch was also well done. The problem here was the floor. They had dug up a 1” deep pit in the floor, likely to remove the wall studs. However, they did not patch the floor or even let us know this was going to be an issue. We were never told about the pit until I decided to check in on their progress one day towards the end of the wall build. This required us to pay a handyman to come in next day on a weekend to patch the concrete since we had cabinets being installed the following Tuesday. Suj was aware of this and did not believe it pertinent information. Overall, Suj and SoCal Builders do quality work, but the issues in pricing consistency lost us before the work even started. Not even telling us that we’d be left with a 1” deep pit in our floor after was another huge issue which should’ve been brought up much earlier. This was our first experience with a contractor and I’m not sure if this is typical or not. However, it’s enough to make me doubt I’d contact them for any future work."

"I hired Golan and H&A My Design to build an addition to my house. Golan was very professional, helpful, communicative and honest. He listened to my suggestions and gave me some great advices. The project was finished ahead of schedule and I am completely satisfied with the outcome. Highly recommend Golan and H&A My Design!"

"This is the second home remodel project that Kyle Beym Home Improvement has done for us. We were so impressed with our exterior home renovation they did a few years ago, that we contacted the company again when we were ready to remodel one of our bathrooms. They were by far the lowest bid, and once again excelled in quality of work and end project. The crew was hardworking and respectful, working long hours and always cleaning up at the end of each day. We were once again pleased with the responsiveness to all questions and changes we made as the remodel was underway, and the bathroom was finished in the time frame that was estimated at the start of the project. The bathroom turned out even better than we had hoped! We are so pleased with the remodel that we can’t wait to do the rest of the bathrooms in our home."

"I came to know about Platinum Home Builders from a friend. We were having our first child and wanted to have a specially prepared room for her. I was very impressed with their approach. I should say that I am very satisfied with their work."

"The quality of service on scale of 1-5, 5 as outstanding. They are a 5. They company is an established family owned business located in Long Beach. They have been in the business for over 30 years. They specialize in new home construction/remodeling, anything to do with homes. If I have to do any project they will be the contractor I will hire. The price was reasonable. The quality was impeccable. They have top notch sub contractors. Cody is a true craftsman. It was above and beyond."

"We recently had our kitchen remodeled, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the initial consultation to the final installation, the team was professional, punctual, and paid incredible attention to every detail. They kept the work area clean, communicated with us throughout the project, and delivered exactly what they promised."

"Had our roof replaced by the awesome team with Nathan behind the wheel. Very professional and no hidden costs, upgrades, etc. Very timely and up to standards. I cannot recommend them enough to anybody needing anything. In fact, we will be reaching out for future improvements on our small bungalow in LA. Also, be assured that they are not some "new to the game" company as there are a lot of them."

"Our kitchen remodel exceeded our expectations, providing us with a beautiful and highly efficient space for cooking and gathering. We're thrilled with the results, as the new design seamlessly integrates style and functionality."

"I was totally wrong in thinking that this company would do a good job because in reality they did something spectacular, the entire work team was very kind and attentive to our family, we are a family that does not open the door to anyone but we decided to trust American Professional Builders, Jose was very friendly and understanding with all of our needs, he always tried to adapt the work to each one's style, my children's rooms are comfortable, elegant and at the same time they can play and have fun with the design that Jose created especially for them, our yards are safe for the children and at the same time we can enjoy a weekend with the wonderful Deck with fireplace and kitchen, the pool with games that Jose recommended and that he built is beautiful and fun for the family, the type of tile he used looks luxurious and the pavers he installed with the artificial grass around it were exactly what we dreamed of, we are going to build an ADU soon and we are already working on the pl"

"I cant explain enough, just how wonderful of an experience we had with Newland. The professionalism and patience that we received throughout the entire process gave us the assurance and value that we hoped we would get from such a demanding job. Our home and family were treated with respect, our ideas were welcomed and now the quality of our home life is forever changed for the better. We began meeting with contractors to see what could be done so that our home could better suit our needs. We met with two other contractors before we met Terry with Newland. After our initial consultation with Terry we knew that Newland would be the company that would help us to make our home dreams a reality. We now have exactly what we wanted in an addition and our home is comfortable and beautiful. Our family of six is now happy and peaceful, and we aren t cramped and crowded for space anymore! The new master bathroom is so stunning and spacious that weve actually spent a significant amount of time in there just visiting with guests when we are showing off the remodel. We have well designed storage spaces, and our staircase fits beautifully in the downstairs space it took up. If we have any home-improvement needs in the future, we will absolutely go with Newland again!"
