"I did the typical homeowner thing where I anticipate being able to handle a project and quickly found I was in a bit over my head. I was hoping to do some finish work on my basement and thought everything would be simple. It proved to be a bit beyond my understanding and I went to Angie's list and a few other places for help. I ended up finding Redwood Builders (Jared) on Angie's list. He was semi local to me which was nice and made it easy for him to stop by one morning before I left for work. I had two other people out to look at the possible work as well. I ended up going with Redwood Builders for the job because I felt most comfortable with Jared compared to the others I had talked with. Overall it worked out very well. He was very open in communicating what was going to be done when and on what day. Overall everything has stayed relatively on time to what we discussed. The overall cost was higher than I had wanted to spend, but that is more to do with what I believe was my poor estimating on what real work costs. Compared to the other people I talked to he was right in line with them as far as costs go. On the costs, what I have appreciated is his openness to adjustments as we go. Initially we discussed a baseline cost for the project. He has stuck with that, but because of my request for an additional thing here or an additional item there the cost did increase. He never really said no to anything and just explained that might be an additional cost, gave me a rough idea of the cost, and we ended up going forward. In my work, I work with a lot of different contractor types in different industries and frankly I wish all were as personable and easy going as Jared. He did a good portion of the work himself. He did sub out some portions of the work, but the items he subbed out were done well by people that were professional and worked well and quickly. I know he had some personal issues pop up during the tail end of our job. Short of letting me know he really did not miss a beat. I fully would have understood any delays but he was very professional and very set on finishing what he had agreed to. I would gladly use Jared again on any possible future job and would recommend him to anyone looking."

"We had our counter tops installed today and could not be happier with the end result or with any step in the process to get there. Factory Plaza was excellent in every way. They have a wonderful selection of material on hand. Their salespeople are very knowledgeable and helpful. The estimator was also very very good and was able to answer many other questions we had. We only had to wait about seven days from the estimate, till the cut stone arrived for installation. The installers were quick and able to make last minute alterations on the spot. The counters look awesome. The price was right. We recommend them highly, they are well worth checking out."

"Paul was great.  very informative and took the time to Explain everything even if we didn't have questions about it.  Paul took 3.5 hours and went through every nook and cranny in the home..  Finding many things that would have cost a lot of headaches and funds in the future had we purchased the house.  His cost of $250.00 was a great rate.   i must say that based on Paul's inspection we were able to move on from the property comfortably knowing that it would be to overwhelming in repairs and renovations.    i would encourage anyone buying a home in Paul's service area  to give him the chance to take a look at it before you purchase and read his report.  WORTH EVERY PENNY... <br />"

"My home is 20 years old and in need of updates and repairs, Jim has done numerous repairs, etc., in the past 4 years and I could not be more pleased.  He makes decision making easy and with his keen eye, and has brought potential problems to my attention. <br /> After many years of procrastinating, I finally called Jim for an estimate, and his thoughts, on the best material for my kitchen counters.  He immediately made a home visit to see what might work best . . once I made a decision, Jim made an appointment with a distributor who did measurements (with Jim present), the counter tops were ordered.  Once the counter tops were ready for installation, Jim called, we set up a start date and were on our way.   <br /> Jim was always on time, courteous and finished the job as promised. <br /> Am I pleased with Jim's work(?), absolutely . . "Very good. Tim and his crew were professional and did more than what was promised. Furniture came to the house in great condition and in a timely fashion. Tim and his crew even set up the furniture which was above and beyond what they were hired to do. Many of the movers I called or emailed never returned my call or emails. Tim was prompt and very interested in earning our business."

"<p>Mike showed up on time and completed the work in the time frame I would expect.  He was careful to try to keep dust contained to the kitchen and put down protective coverings on the floor leading in from the front door.</p> <p>Later when I was painting I noticed some seams that weren't covered real well and other areas where excessive mud was not sanded down even with the surrounding areas.  It wasn't bad enough to call Mike back to fix (he said he would come back and fix anything we weren't happy with), but I was expecting better quality  from someone who does this for a living.</p> <p>There were two things that were unacceptable.  One is that when cutting holes for the electrical outlets he roto-zipped all of the tabs off the receptacles and switches.  The other is that about a year later we removed a wall between the kitchen and living room and found the wall was stuffed full of all the drywall scraps.  Not only did I have to clean all of that out, but there was a considerable amount of weight sitting on top of the electrical wires in the wall.</p> <br />"

"Found Tony on Angie's list and couldn't be happier that I did. His pricing is excellent and work outstanding. Tony, his father and one of Tony's sons came on Monday at 7:30 and removed most of the concrete and built all but a piece of the forms front and back, left around 6:00. The next day he finished the removal and forms, poured concrete and was done by 6:00, including cleanup! Would have been done earlier but had to wait for the concrete to show up. <br /> Tony and crew were professional, worked hard and made sure to do a quality job. Even after I had paid (after the work is done, no payment up front - very good to know) , I noticed he was out front smoothing a bit of the concrete to make sure it was just right. <br /> A beautiful job, exactly as I wanted it. <br /> Have a driveway that will need to be replaced in sections as $$ allows, and will be in contact with Tony to do the job. <br />"
