"I have been using Independent Overhead Doors for all my investment properties for the last 25 years. Last week I called on a Monday and scheduled an appointment on Thursday. I had to take a day off work to meet someone to fix my garage door. Shane met me and after looking at the garage door opener, took out his phone and started to show me openers at Home Depot. He told me I could go buy an opener and then call in again and schedule someone to install it. I was a little confused since previously, the person that was sent out had equipment and was ready to sell me an opener and install it. After a bit more discussion, I asked if IOD had stopped selling openers. Shane then got mad and told me he had 5 other jobs that day and would have to come back later. So I asked again if he could do the job or not, and he agreed to do it but was furious. The good thing about an angry installer is he got it done in 30 minutes. When I checked the opener, there were no lights when it closed. Shane told me openers don't come with bulbs. I'd have to put them in myself. So now, this 70 year old woman has to climb a ladder and install the bulbs. Exactly what I was trying to avoid. I called Doug after the installer left and told him I was very disappointed and won't be using his company again. Doug said, "Then why are you calling me?" This company is closed and only going through the motions of pretending to offer any services to customers anymore. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and call someone else."
