"The owner, Kory, came and we did a walkthrough of my basement.  We discussed a solution that involved trenching the entire perimeter and installing 2 sump pumps to expel any water.  We also discussed the installation of steel I-beams and waterproofing/guard sheets.  He was clear that the company's solution was for the interior of my house, not the exterior.  After we'd discussed all the work that would be done and how long it'd take, he prepared a written estimate that we reviewed, I gave him a deposit, and we scheduled the jobs. <br /> I discussed all this later with local family members, and we decided it'd be a good idea to check the exterior to see if we could find the CAUSE of the water.  Lo and behold, we found buried downspouts that were leaking underground and repaired what we could at that time.  I called Kory back to discuss the work we'd scheduled, and he returned today.  Since it appears we may have found the issues on the outside, we've decided to wait until spring to see if our fixes work over a bit of time. <br /> So the bottom line is that I didn't have Absolutely Dry do any work.  Yet.  I'll be following up with Kory in March or so and we'll take it from there.  Very honorable guy, too - he even gave me my deposit back. <br />"

"There was a cave-in at one location outside the foundation where they had put their equipment, and they came quickly to repair it. They did not clean up very well after themselves for the interior work, and they left cracked tile. They have not come back to look at the extra cracks."

"Ryan Musick and his Fivestone Foundations team were professional from the start. Ryan was accessible and prompt for his appointment to bid the project. He quickly took measurements, explained the capabilities of the system he wanted to install and emailed a bid soon after.  <br /> The project started the day my family and I left for a summer road trip. The Fivestone team arrived early and got right to work. We were doing last minute packing and loading up our car. The guys were polite and friendly and moving quickly on the job. Apparently, my older home has a thin concrete slab which allowed them to move around the perimeter of the basement in less time than they had anticipated. We left town and left them with access to the basement. Ryan kept us updated on progress and completion of the job. I was pleasantly surprised upon my return, at how clean they had left the basement. I had seen the amount of concrete and dust dislodged at the beginning of the project and there was not a trace when I returned.  <br /> It was some time before we had any rain in the St Louis area to test the system and when it did finally arrive, we noticed that a floor drain outside my basement door was clogged with silt. The sump system was not working for this particular exterior drain. I texted a picture to Ryan and he called immediately. He said he would talk to his installers and get back to me. Within the hour, he called back to say that the installer had worried about tying the drain into the sump system and thought that connecting it directly to the sewer line would be a better way to handle the dirt and silt.  <br /> Within 24 hours, another Fivestone Foundation team was at my door to connect the floor drain to the sewer line. That was fantastic response time! Again - they were polite, respectful, moved quickly and cleaned up after themselves.  <br /> I would highly recommend Fivestone to anyone looking to install a basement drain tile and sump system. "Patrick had some trouble getting here because he was at another job when he called to find out what was wrong and was needed. He had to call two times knowing that he would be later than he said. When he arrived he spent 2 hours including checking other areas to make sure he was able to complete unplugging my bathroom sink. Think he even got basement sink running right.
