"We contacted them and they repaired the hole and also put in a drain tile. There was a question about whether there was another source of water leak and they came back to test the integrity of our foundation and found that everything was ok.

Sometimes there was a delay in getting a call back from them and a delay in having them come to do the work. When they did come, the work was done well."

"Everything about this project was great: getting an estimate, scheduling the installation, the installer, and the product. We should have added a Solatube to our dark hallway a long time ago. This was an excellent investment, and worth every penny."

"This project started in July 2015 and it's still not completed. My "new" roof leaks more than the old. In December 2015, I noticed my first leak with the new roof. They blamed it on tuck pointing. The second leak was noticed in May 2016. The latest leak was noticed on 7/23/2016.
So, on August 2 I hired and independent roofing inspector. He found that the chimney wasn't properly sealed , hence the leak in December. The June leak was because they "forgot" to replace flashing and install parts of the guttering. They did come out and install new flashing but only on the leaking window. Keep in mind that the other windows still don't have flashing. I guess they are waiting for those to leak before they install the flashing. The needed guttering was also not installed. The most recent leak has not been addressed. The owner is aware of this problem. I have sent pictures, texts and emails along with the inspectors report but with NO response.
The siding was installed with mismatched colors. I called and let them know that the siding didn't match. I was told it would be fixed asap. The siding was finally replaced 2 +months later but with more mismatched colors. They finally got the siding to match a few weeks later.
I also had to clean up after the workers. I have a covered porch which was sided with brick like shingle material. When they installed the new siding over the old , all the small granules were left on my porch . The porch is carpeted so I was unable to just sweep it up. It needed to be vacuumed up with a shop vac. Because the large granules, it broke my Dyson vacuum immediately. I also had to rent a steam cleaner because one of the workers dropped his big gulp of soda on the carpet and left it there, cup and all. I came home from work to find a floor covered in ants.
I also don't believe that they went over the yard with a metal roller. I have found at least 100 nails in my yard. I am surprised that one of my dogs hasn't stepped on one.
During the entire project, I was NEVER notified of when the workers were showing up. Typically, this may not have been a big deal but it's rather alarming to find 3 workers looking in your window when you're walking around in a towel because you just got out of the shower.
They also left my back gate open not once but TWICE. Each time I would come home and my dogs would be gone. The last time happened on the hottest day of the year. I was LIVID!!! One of my dogs had been missing for 24 hours. I was afraid that he might have died of dehydration or heat exhaustion. Luckily, a neighbor found him under a bush.
I had so many problem that I was told that we would have a meeting between myself, the sales person, the project manager, PEI owner and the roofing foremen to discuss all the problems and get them taken care of. This never happened !!!

Do not use this company"

"The sales person for Hardy Jensen was very responsive to our inquiry for bidding on our replacement window project. He came on a Saturday morning that worked around my schedule. He was very knowledgeable about various windows and installation process. He started with Hardy Jensen as an installer so we trusted his knowledge about the installation options. He was not a pushy salesmen, It did take longer than we expected to get pricing because he said he was really busy. We did appreciate his honesty, but I had to contact him to remind him to get the pricing to us. When he did the pricing, he told us that
they did not play games and that their price is the price. After we received a couple of pricing options, we met him at their showroom in Racine which had everything we were looking for. We settled on specific options and he modified the quote
accordingly. Because of the size of this project (between $60K - $80K) I asked for the sales rep to break out the labor separate from the window price, so I could quote apples-to-apples. I explained we were getting several quotes and another installer was quoting the same brand window and model. The direct quote in an email from the owner was this: “Your research should be better directed to the product end then the company, then the company that handles it locally, then the bottom line price. Dividing this all out for sales staff and consumers only confuses the quantity of information you would need to sift thru.” This response took me aback since all I wanted to know is how much is he charging me for the window itself. We had several email exchanges with me explaining my position and that I expect companies to make a profit. I also stated I was NOT focusing on bottom line price and that I was willing to pay MORE for a better installer. I just wanted to break down the price. Since the other bids I was receiving did, indeed, break out labor from materials, I was able to make an easy decision. Needless to say,
Hardy and Jensen did not receive the project because I was looking for a business who was transparent and provided detailed quotes like the rest of the market. If I couldn’t get that basic information, I was concerned about how problems would
be resolved down the road if I was to award them the business.
"

"Very satisfied with cost and workmanship. Original contact was to repair wind damage on shingled roof. Unlike other roofing contractors I contacted, the response was fast. The 40 plus years of experience showed as the temporary repair was done immediately without any hassle of cost. The cause of the wind damage was shown and explained as improper nailing of shingles. To my surprise it was suggested, that because of a current materials special, it would be more cost effective to install a new metal roof over the old shingles rather than replacing the old shingles. A new metal roof, with all of its advantages, cheaper than new shingles!
I said I was interested, and they took a lot of measurements. A couple days later I received an estimate via E-mail. I also asked about financing. The only option was like a credit card application (5% up front and high interest after 1 year). After working out alternative financing from my bank, I then responded via E-mail to proceed. They came out again and made more measurements. They wanted advanced payment for the materials with final payment upon completion.
A couple weeks later the new metal roof install began. It was a three man crew, they worked professionally, took their time and did it right. The weather caused multiple delays extending the work over about 3 weeks. The new roof is impressive, several people stopped by to ask for name of contractor.

"

"Turnkey project from cradle to grave!

Not everyone has the talent, skill and dedication required to be a self proprietor and a good general contractor. The training and on-the-job experience required of a general contractor is often overlooked and by many homeowners. Our project site is approximately 7 hours from our current permanent residence. Key to our decision making was finding a qualified, reputable and trustworthy builder who was responsive, able to effectively communicate (phone, email, texting and faxing), had very strong time management skills, and was client satisfaction focused.

Dave Farley, proprietor and General Contractor of Coast to Coast Contracting and Development in Hayward, WI is a top notch professional who exhibits excellent communication skills to effectively and efficiently conduct business. Dave has done a great job with establishing a strong subcontractor base and has a very unique, passionate and talented crew.

Projects of this magnitude will always have unexpected hurdles, regardless of how much planning is done. How the obstacles are managed are critical. Dave has a unique and creative ability to bring options and alternatives to the table. No matter what, Dave will find a solution that is fair and appealing to the customer.

I challenge you to search for a trustworthy builder, who appreciates 'type A' personalities and in the end manages his operations with a conscious. We can assure you, whether you desire to be involved with each and every step of the project or desire to be more hands off and are looking to build in Northwest Wisconsin, search no further!

We are very proud to be in a custom home built by Coast to Coast Contracting and Development.

"
