"Rich and Lee did a fantastic job installing a 24K btu mini split system. They were polite and professional. We had a morning appointment and when an emergency came up they kept us updated as to their time frame. Although they arrived later than originally planned they stayed until the job was completed to our satisfaction. They thoroughly cleaned up after themselves, and we would highly recommend their services."

"Paul is too busy to get the job done in a timely manner, very poor communication, says he will show up and does not. Twice made me wait for him all day and no show! Paid for services and parts but still has completed. I think he will finish my thermostat replacement, but don't know when. Tired of calling him. Has too many customers to do a good job. He came over and changed the thermostat afterwards he took my thermostat. He told me it was an expensive one, but it was only $57 And the thermostat he took is $250. Also, when I asked to return it, he stopped taking my calls, and my heater still does not work correctly. Paid $500 and $57 was installed, and he took $250 thermostat from me."

"After paying for the the work to be done the contractor has rarely shown up and have documented dozens of instances that they said they were coming and didnt. It has been 7 months and our job isn't done. I have had to buy electric heaters for my house which is still not enough and I have documented the inside temp of my house down to 47° I have had a second contractor come in and look at what has been done so far and was told that the furnace and air handler are installed incorrectly and that the wire that they installed is incorrect and out of code as well."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Danville, PA

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
