"I highly recommend Bryan's Home Improvement and Handyman Services. The owner Bryan Grubb was wonderful. He and his staff assisted me in every stage of the remodeling of my bathroom. We entered a contract which they stuck by. The price to perform the remodeling was very, very fair. During the remodeling, a structural problem was found. They addressed the problem and provided me with options to correct the problem. These were structural issues which should have been addressed by their predecessors and was inconceivable that the problem could have been missed. Bryan's handymen, led by Jorge, were professional, timely, efficient, knowledgeable, artistic and neat. They did a fantastic job on my bathroom. I can't thank them enough. I will recommend them to everyone I know. I will definitely hire them again. A+++"

"The team at Avstep were amazing. So friendly and helpful. They replaced our garage roof and helped us with joist work. They were right on time, were super efficient, and organized and cleaned as they were working. It was so nice to talk with them and were very upfront and honest. "QUICK ESTIMATE â needed to pick someone quickly in order to get painting done before I moved into a new house and Eric gave me an estimate after his walkthrough. Immediately after the walkthrough, as he was walking out, he crunched some numbers and gave me a price. The other companies didnâ t get back to me until EOD the next day at the earliest. One of the other companies didn't contact me until after Eric's team had completed the entire job! FAST COMPLETION -- 2-Day turnaround for approx 1200 sq ft â We got really lucky because it was going to rain and many of the guys working on exteriors were now available to help on my home's interior, so I ended up getting a team of 6 guys going all at once! I wouldn't expect this for your job unless you check the 10-day weather report and call ahead for rain days, but it really worked out for my wife and I. DETAILED â attention to detail was amazing. I am a little critical of edge work and could find almost no spots that needed touching up after the job was done! FRIENDLY - Eric, Orhan, and the whole team were really nice and really considerate of our new home. CLEAN â The team left the house free of drips, dust, or footprints. I think they left it cleaner than it started! VETERAN-OWNED -- My dad was in the Army for most of my upbringing and I saw firsthand how ungratefully our soldiers can be treated in rejoining the civilian work after retirement. Suffice to say I will always choose a vet-owned company first. COMPETITIVE PRICES - I'm putting this last on purpose because I wouldn't place the most weight on price. Did they cost less than the other companies? Yes!!!! BUT, I hired because I was under the gun time-wise, and Eric and his team finished the work before my wife and I moved into our new house. And he was just nicer than some of the other folks that gave us estimates. LIFETIME CUSTOMER -- From doing the estimate to getting the work started, they were quick, decisive and a pleasure to work with. For any painting needed on my house in the future, I will be giving them a call."

"I found Nilsen Building and Remodeling from Angie's List and at the time, they had a 'Painter for a Day' promotion going on that I couldn't refuse - I thought, it's so affordable what could possibly go wrong? I reached out to David to coordinate right away so to take advantage of my voucher, and he was in touch shortly after and we were able to lock in a start date two weeks later. I was concerned about scheduling without having him stop by and seeing the space first, but he assured me there wouldn't be any concerns and that the job could be done within the 8 hours. To sum up my experience in one sentence - I am so happy with my finished, painted room and I will certainly be using David and his team for more projects around my house and would highly recommend him to anyone looking in the North Jersey area. The job included painting a lot of trim work and 2 accent walls. Once you get past the bright purple color I chose, you can see their high-quality work and attention-to-detail all throughout.
