"Needed the top several rows of brick on my fireplace replaced and a vent cap added.  Master Services was recommended to me by a roofing contractor and I contacted them through Angie's List.  Got a response indicating that my town was not too far from them and they would be happy to help.  They supplied a phone number for me to call the office to make an appointment.  I called the office and but after being put on hold the office person came back on the line and told me I am out of their service area.  I told her that I received an Angie's list response indicating they could help and she responded that they would have to correct that. <br /> I wanted to rate them a C but Angie's Lst wouldn't let me. <br />"

"Very well. The team called ahead, was right on time, performed all the needed work and even noted some flashing on the roof at the chimney which needed to be repaired. The team noted that the roof appeared relatively new and was likely under warranty rather than them charging me to repair it and the roofer not accepting it if a claim were ever made. They even provided a photo to give the roofer's repair team. Great customer service!"

"Serviceman was right on time. Before cleaning the inside of my fireplace, as well as the gas logs, he laid a blanket down so no dust could get on my floor or furnishings. He noticed that the logs were set a little too close to the front, then adjusted the log rack so the gas could flow better through the logs. He also noted that the gas pipe was at the correct length to the logs. Next, he went outside and did an inspection of the chimney by getting on the roof. Except for a slight crack in the caulking around the cap there were no problems. The caulking was not something that required repair at this time. This serviceman was very professional in doing his job, in cleaning up after his inspection, and in the information he gave. I will call this company again."

We called them, they did the job. They inspected the chimney and said it didn't need cleaned but they said they could clean up your gas logs and we had them do it. They had installed the fireplace when the home was built and still had a record of when it was installed now 13 years ago. They completely tuned up the system, fixed wall switch and cleaned up the burner assembly. Service was impeccable. <br />"

"<p> We were not very happy about the roofing. He tore the old roof down just prior to a major storm so that was really poor timing because they ended up having to do the job really fast. That showed up in that we ended up with more leaks than we originally started out with. I think we ended up with four leaks and originally there was only one. I think he was very rude and arrogant at times. He was trying to repair it but we very unhappy. I would never recommend him. I purchased a Big Deal for this service. The venting was mesh wiring originally and prevented rodents from getting in, but he replaced it with something very fine so that is was really useless. We ended up with creatures easily getting in. One thing that was upsetting to me was when he pulled up the roof there was rot in there. He replaced one board and left one that was equally rotted in place. As a woman, I felt that I was taken advantage of because I would not know all the language involved with that.  There were a number of things that were upsetting. I was not happy with him at all. He also put in the wrong sized vent in one area of the roof and that was never replaced.
