"I had an extremely disappointing experience with [ Take Air, Air Duck Cleaning company]. The services outlined in the invoice were not performed as promised and attempts to resolve the issue have been met with silence. I even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but the company failed to respond, showing a complete lack of accountability and customer care. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable and honest service."

Small jobs welcome

"Truly enjoyed watching them remove and install the insulation. My house is cooler and it has a new house smell. Highly recommend them. Can't beat their $1 deal."

"As always, the team at All Star A/C & Heating Services here in Houston came through for us. Air went out in the downstairs unit at my kids home. It turned out to be a capacitor and the fix was only $269! We have been so happy with the honest and fabulous service that we’ve had with these guys for a decade now that we would never even consider calling someone else. We had been ripped off by other companies in the past who replaced entire units that were only a few years old rather than servicing just what was needed. All Star was founded by a couple of guys who got tired of working for dishonest companies that encouraged them to replace unnecessarily, and just wanted to do the right thing in their lives and work. Thanks again for being decent and honest. You’re the best! For anyone needing AC/heating services, I recommend these guys wholeheartedly. On a 10 point scale, they’re a 10+"

"I've used Cother for years for everything from a new unit install, through checkups and repairs. Last night we had issues with the condensation drain in one of our units. Since they are located in the attic and drain problems have a way of leaking through the ceiling, we shut it down last night. We were dreading on how long Cother would take to come fix the problem given this is the busy time of the year. We called promptly when they opened at 8, someone was here by 9:30 and the problem was resolved by 10. Good, prompt service has been our experience with them every time we have used them."

FAQs for spray foam insulation projects in Dayton, TX

Local and federal rebates are available for insulation installation, which can significantly reduce your overall costs. Many utility companies offer incentives or rebates to homeowners who improve their home's energy efficiency. Contact your local energy provider or government agencies to learn about available programs in your area, and consult with a professional insulation installer to maximize your savings.

It's not necessary to remove old insulation before adding new insulation, as long as the existing insulation is in good condition—dry, free of mold, and not damaged. Adding new insulation on top of old insulation can improve your home's energy efficiency by increasing the overall R-value. However, if the old insulation is wet, moldy, or damaged, it's best to remove it before installing new insulation to prevent potential health risks and ensure optimal performance.

Insulating a house takes between five and twelve hours for batts or boards, and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. The exact time depends on the size of your home, the type of insulation, and the accessibility of the areas being insulated. Keep in mind that projects may take longer if old insulation needs removal, if there's a larger square footage, or if spaces are difficult to reach.
