Customers say: True professional

"DR Bob treated my tree for Dutch elm disease, as well as my shrubs for spider mites, and black spot. Definitely cheaper than replacing all my shrubs, which I was preparing to do. Prompt and professional. Fingers crossed, this works!"

"Provided root treatment for three trees (1 red oak, 1 live oak & 1 silver leaf maple ) to both root feed the trees and kill infections inside the trees - particularly the silver leaf maple.
The Silver Leaf Maple is about 26 years old and I was about ready to cut it down.  Bob White convinced me to allow him to treat the tree  September 2012 but told me it would talk until the spring (2013) to see the difference.  Both of the Oaks are substantially healthier and greener than similar trees on my street.  But the Silver Leaf Maple appears to be rebounding very well, and if I can save this very old tree, then I will be very pleased and surprised.  And right now - it looks as though it will do well.
Thanks Bob.

"Cody Irrigation has done an outstanding job for us. We have used them for minor repairs for years, but this year, due to a lightning strike, our entire system had to be rewired. Brent Cody also suggested adding a zone, which we did. Brent and his crew did a great job. Although it took a while to get on their books (a positive sign that they are busy!) Cody Irrigation showed up when they said they would, completed the work in the time they said they would, and adhered to the quote they gave us. This review was delayed only because I wanted to see how the lawn did in the heat - it looks better than ever. Brent and Robin Cody are professional and excellent to work with. We could not be happier."

"This is the best-kept secret in pest control: These sprays WORK BEAUTIFULLY. I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. In previous years, our backyard has been nearly unusable during the summer months.. Not because of the heat, but because of the mosquitoes.
THIS YEAR WAS DIFFERENT: A once-per-month visit from Mid-Cities eliminated mosquitoes completely. I haven't seen one since their first visit in June.
The treatment involves spraying the front and back yard areas (including shrubs and trees) using an ingenious sprayer adapted to a commercial leaf-blower system. The product is non-toxic (didn't affect the fish in our Koi pond) and odorless. Even after heavy rains, the treatment worked continuously.
I recommend them enthusiastically.

"We hired Mike and his crew to re-do our backyard withTexas native plants and materials. Mike was very flexible and made adjustments as needed to accommodate our wishes. His workers were extremely polite and cleaned up after themselves daily. I would definitely have our hire Mike and his crew at Hummingbird landscape solutions again. He also did several of my neighbors’ yards and did a fantastic job!!"

"The guys did a great job. They checked my entire system, adjusted my watering cycle/schedule, cleaned a few heads, gave great recommendations if I wanted upgrades or to improve coverage, etc.. That was the $59 sprinkler tune-up promotion, great deal!  I also had 2 damaged areas in my drip line, they were able to patch it up and only cost $60 to fix the 2 leaks  Very quick and efficient, professional, polite, everything you could ask for from a contractor. Thanks H2O!

"Bought an Angie's Deal for $99 on February 26, but paid a bit extra because our lawn was larger than 8,000 square feet. All three treatments were to be completed by the end of June. We waited several weeks before the yard was sprayed the first time; it was finally done toward the end of April.
After this, we expected them to contact us to schedule the second treatment, but May was coming to a close and we had heard nothing. On May 26, I called and discovered that the company had been sold. The new owner said they were still getting organized and would put us on the schedule as soon as possible. He said they were planning to use the same equipment and product as the previous owners. At that point, he could not promise that he would honor the Angie's List Deal.
Toward the end of June, we had still not been put on the schedule. I called and left several messages on voice mail. During the second week of July, the new owner called to schedule; Classic Green came out on July 14, then again on August 20. They did honor the Angie's Deal and have not charged us extra for either visit.
We can see a difference in the number of weeds in the yard, but would have preferred that all treatments had been done by June. Once finally scheduled, they showed up when they said they would.

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in Decatur, TX

A tree doctor or tree surgeon is another term for an arborist. The term is more common in places like the United Kingdom. They are professionals trained to plant, care for, maintain, diagnose, and remove trees of all kinds. Tree doctors have specialized knowledge to ensure the health and safety of trees.

Arborists are tree care specialists who plan, maintain, and enhance the health of trees with expert precision. They prune, diagnose diseases, treat pest infestations, remove hazardous limbs, and manage debris cleanup while developing comprehensive landscaping plans. They also handle tree planting and work with landscape professionals to ensure long-term tree vitality and safety.

Consulting arborists are tree experts who can advise homeowners and business owners on the right trees to plant, how to care for existing trees, and what to do about trees that appear to be sick or pose a safety threat. A consulting arborist may work with local landscape architects, investment property owners, city governments, developers, and other arborists.

An arborist may be able to save a dying tree. If you notice that your tree suddenly appears to be sick or is exhibiting unusual behavior, contact an arborist immediately. They will thoroughly inspect the tree to determine what might be wrong with it—and will let you know if it’s possible to save the tree and how to do it.

Verifying an arborist’s credentials is crucial for reliable tree care. Arborists must be licensed by their state and hold certifications from reputable organizations such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Request proof of licensing and certification, and review local recommendations to ensure you are hiring a professional who meets high industry standards and adheres to strict safety protocols.
