"Jason has been a pleasure to work with. He provided us with a detailed work plan on how he was going to eliminate the mold. He was very clear on what needed to be done and followed through to ensure everything was completed. He explained he would do a manual application of chemicals to the wood beams and two types of fogging to clear it up. He had air quality samples taken before and after the fogging and shared the results in a timely manner. He assured me if results did not guarantee the mold was eliminated, he would repeat all testing measures until resolved at no charge. Luckily the mold is gone. "The services rendered we're actually better than expected. We called because the basement was flooded and had standing water for a period of time and we suspected mold had started to build. Max (the owner/team leader) came out, inspected the basement and reported his findings to us, which ended up being worse than we had anticipated (mold and ASBESTOS). He explained how his crew would rid us of the situation and we agreed. The team was able to start the four day project two days earlier than expected and instead of a four day project they completed the work in two days. They did an amazing job! The basement is now dry, mold and asbestos free! It look like a brand new basement. They had the dumpster brought in and threw out the furniture etc that was in the basement and left no debris behind. When asked if we would use their services again, that would be an absolute YES! "I first contacted them in April and their lead estimator came out right away for a quote. The deck in the backyard had to be removed to get to the siding. They sent me to another contractor for the deck removal and replacement who gave me an estimate after four weeks that was double what my insurance was willing to cover. I removed the deck myself and scheduled an appointment. The day before the appointment they pushed me back another day for another customer. The team replaced most of the insulation in the basement and patched the side of the house. They charged me for 547 square feet of insulation but didn't use half that much and kept the extra. The patch was not installed properly, it was screwed through the outside face and they only replaced a short section when I paid for 20 square feet(see photo). "We were replacing a 30 year old roof on the second floor. When Mark came to the house to do the estimate he did not just look at the roof. He asked for access to the attic area to check the wood. That is how he found that when our second floor was added both of the bathrooms vented into the attic area. This cause some mold on the wood above the most used bathroom. (We will be getting someone to look into the mold.) He also found a problem with one of the pipes having a loose boot. The other 2 companies we got bids from only looked at the roof and did not request to look at it from the attic area. <br /> <br />  Once we signed with Preferred Roofing Mark kept in touch so we knew when the crew would be out to do the roof. The day after the supplies were dropped off Chris stopped by to drop off the permit and put the sign in our yard. Original start date was Monday 4/13 but rain delayed it until Tues. The crew showed up a little after 7 am and went straight to work. They finished up about 7:20 pm with the roof. The only time they stopped was for lunch. In the afternoon I noticed that they were also cleaning up our back yard area. They may have been doing the same in front but I was sitting in a room overlooking the back. Mark stopped by a few hours before they were done just to see how things were going and to see if we had any questions.  He also told use that the pipe that there was a  problem with the pipe with the loose boot and we needed a plumber to look at it. (We will be doing that soon too.) Yes we have a few more things to do but if it weren't for his attention to detail we wouldn't know about them until the problem got a lot worse. When the crew was done and had cleared their tools away they then proceeded to clean up the patio, lawn (front & back) of any debris. They also went over everything with a magnetic rake to pick up any stray nails they had missed. <br /> <br /> Thursday the crew came by to do the gutters. I wasn't at home then but my husband was. He said they went to work and had the gutters done in no time. The only problem was that they forgot the leaf barriers. Mark & Chris came back on Friday to put those in and then did another sweep of the area with the magnetic rake for stray nails. We got the high end shingles so we are good for another 50 years.  <br /> <br /> I can say enough good about the work. For the estimate Mark made sure we knew exactly what work was being done and what out options were. He took time to answer our questions and make sure we understood what he was telling us. Once we signed he keep us up to date on the work schedule. His crews keep their mind on their work. Judging by the sounds of the work, they never stopped until lunchtime and when they were done.
