"Arrived on schedule. Went through the elimination process and determined problem was in the line to the pump or the pump itself (no water pressure). The service rep explained everything so that I understood fully what was going to happen. The pipe to the well motor was pulled up and a nickel sized hole was found in the pipe about 10 feet from the pump. The pipeline was galvanized metal and was very rusty. More holes were sure to develop; so, I had the whole line replaced. We also found the pump was 30 plus years old so, I had that replaced too. The service rep kept me informed through the entire installation process; as well as what to do after everything was completed. The pump had to be flushed with chlorine so, there is a short waiting process, tap flushing proceedure and water testing that he explained before leaving."

His basement was repaired years ago but he reiterated to me how impressed he was with the job. The owner, Chris met with me and was very thorough in explaining to me what the issues were and the process that would take place. I had previously brought in a structural engineer so I felt confident that what Chris told me was straight to the point. He was only going to repair what needed to be done and nothing more. I knew what to expect and the project proceeded without any issues. The crew arrived on time all 3 days and kept on schedule. 26 structural beams were installed, drain tile (217 feet) removed and replaced, a new sump pump and an additional pump installed on the other side of the basement. The crew kept me informed and cleaned up when they were done. I've been through this before with another company at another house and this time it was not as invasive. "we hired traditional plumbing ( john) 4 times now, and one of the 4 times was recently, to do various projects for us. We had quite a list for him, and he did an excellent job. One of the projects was to get our main water shut off- to work. It was old, and corroded and frozen. He had to call our city water dept, and have them come out to go into our lawn, to find the main valve out there, to go down 6-7 feet, to shut it off. While the city was doing that, john went to a supply store to pick up the necessary parts he would need to fix it. John then made the necessary repairs, putting in new parts, and he did a great job. He also put in a new dual sump pump that we had purchased- ( he helped us to find a good one-) basement watch dog, and so, we asked him to put that in for us too. and he hooked up the battery for us, and showed us how it worked- plus he also made a new shelf for that battery to sit on, above the sump pump. We also had him install a new vanity top and faucet we had previously purchased, and then also we had him unhook an old water softener for us, and cap the pipes. We also wanted him to put on a new turn valve ( which got broken) on the pipe for our toilet. He really did such a good job, and we are happy that we found him through Home Advisors. He is a very nice man, and his pricing is fair too. We would recommend him very highly."

"The overall install went well except for a small flaw. The small hole drilled in the PVC pipe splashes wtr out of the sump when pmp is activated. I now have to try to cover a portion of the sump to eliminate the issue."

"We hired Brian to waterproof our basement last year but this year, we received a heavy rainstorm that created massive flooding around the area. Everything Brian waterproofed was bone dry but there was an exit door entry way that we never even considered waterproofing. The door held back most of the water but it managed to get in through the cracks of the door. 

I contacted multiple companies that night and the next morning, but Brian was the only one who responded back first thing in the morning. He agreed to meet us at our house to assess the problem, and we appreciated that he arrived quickly. After evaluating multiple options, Brian told us that we needed a sump pump and drain tile installed to permanently fix this problem. He initially scheduled us for the next Monday, but after understanding our urgency, he bumped us up to the next day. The workers arrived when he said they would, and the work was completed the same day in the afternoon. Thank you to Brian and his company for being so accommodating, being there when we needed him, and completing the work promptly.

After some heavy rains, we noticed that we were still getting some seepage in our "waterproofed" basement. After contacting Brian (for our lifetime warranty or whatever), he said he would come out. He then proceeded to cancel/make an excuse the next 3-4 appointments. Then he just stopped responding to emails/calls. We're very disappointed because we really liked Brian. Now we have to open the walls to see where the seepage is coming in and call someone else to seal them."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
