"I talked to 3 window companies.  I decided to go with one because it was a great price, nice guy, etc.  Matt explained to me why I couldn't go with a vinyl window (which is what both other companies were going to install) because of the type of house and the other windows in the house.  I was very appreciative of this information even though it was going to cost more.  I think it is very important for a company to educate the homeowner rather than just giving them what they think they want.  I had to call Matt a couple of times to remind him to get the project going.  He is a one man (with a helper) show, so is busy, but I prefer to work with the owner of the company.  And he had to order the window in.  It was well worth the wait.  He and his helper tore out the old window and installed the new one in a few hours on a freezing cold day.  They were very careful, so no damage was done and minimal repairs, if any, were needed.  They cleaned up everything.  The window works beautifully.  We have gone through this very cold January and February with no noticeable air leaks.
Plus Matt is very pleasant to work with. 
I would never call another window company after my experience.  The Home Improvement Company is the best there is!

"At firs there were some issues with getting in touch with Brad, the owner. After several days after calling to inquire about my leaking roof, he called me back. Brad was out the next day to inspect the roof and advised me that it would not pass an inspection, due to our house being for sale I asked him for some estimates on several different options. It took about two weeks with a couple of phone calls to get the estimate. Once I confirmed with him that I wanted the new roof with repairs to the rotten wood his crew was out within two days and was done in a day and a half. My only complaint about the job was that there was quite a bit of trash left in the yard along with some cigarette butts. I also didn't ever receive a receipt for the work with the warranty. It appears to me that they did a good job and based on some conversations with a couple of general contractors I know, it seems like I got a reasonable price. I would hire this company again."

Although it was very cold with ice on the ground, he worked efficiently to repair the siding and downspout. It's been about 5 weeks since the repair and have had no issues.
