"In April, we had Tipping Hat Plumbing-Heating-Electrical replace our 20-year-old forced-air heating system and add central air conditioning. At the same time, they replaced our electrical breaker box. The HVAC is a new Amana system, for both heating and cooling. The breaker box upgrade also added a whole-house shut-off and fixed some issues. We could not be happier with the entire process, from first sales visit through after-installation follow-up. Kevin Eddingfield, our sales representative was knowledgeable and patient, and took the time to answer our questions and provide multiple options. We asked for three references, and Tipping Hat delivered. We call all of them, and they called us back. The final quote was accurate, and easy to understand. The financing terms were executed as promised. The electricians that replaced our panel, Chris and Chris Ditmore (father and son), were efficient, careful, considerate, professional, and patient. They went above-and beyond what was required to make certain that our electrical service was replaced with a minimum of disturbance. They reviewed our service, checked the entire house when they were done, and even replaced a few faulty outlets. We will ask for then by name the next time we use Tipping Hat for electrical work. The HVAC technicians the next day were paragons of professionalism and efficiency. The utility room is small land cramped, but they removed the old system and installed the new components without so much as scratching a finished wall. We choose to add a whole-house humidifier and an ultraviolet light air cleaner, and I think that both components will add value to the system. We also choose a replacement filter subscription, and now we will have filters delivered t our door. The installation came with a service plan, with multiple tune-up visits per year (important to us because we maintain our home systems diligently). They worked very quickly and carefully, tested everything, and left no mess in our house or back yard. We chose an Ecobee5 smart thermostat, and they helped me set up its initial programming. The new thermostat was wired with a minimal amount of drywall damage â and even that was repaired by Tipping Hat a few days later with no problems. The entire experience has been positive, and we look forward to having Tipping Hat help us in the future with plumbing/electrical/water heater upgrades in the future."

"Excellent Work! Tim and his team added a door and a deck from my kitchen into the back yard! This was not an easy job. The hot water baseboard heater and some electrical had to be rerouted, a door had to be cut out into a wall to the exterior and a deck was installed with railing! The finish product is amazing! The new deck feels like a luxurious extension to our home. The convenient access from the kitchen really makes the deck feel like it's an outdoor dinning room! I've sat on that gorgeous deck and sipped on a cup of coffee! And, I swear the coffee tasted better - just because I was enjoying it on the deck!! I love it so much and I know my family is going to enjoy it for years and years to come! We were actually thinking about it and we think that our 4 year old little one won't even remember what our house was like before the door in the kitchen and the deck. She'll just think our house was always awesome! :) We just can't express in mere words how happy we are with the deck! It is such a major improvement - everybody absolutely loves it! The whole family has been eating on the deck everyday! I've been playing games of dominos with my dad while we soak in the sun! My husband and I have been enjoying the cooler evenings out there with a drink after work. We are going to enjoy that deck for years and years to come. My brother and sister-in-law will be hiring Tim to do the same thing at their house!"

FAQs for attic or whole house fan service projects in Denver, CO

Attic fans may not significantly lower your energy bill, as the electricity they use can offset savings from reduced cooling costs. However, they can reduce the strain on your air conditioner by removing hot air from the attic, potentially improving your home's overall energy efficiency. Additionally, attic fans help reduce humidity and protect your roof from extreme heat.

An attic fan can last up to 15 years under optimal conditions. Proper installation, regular maintenance, and environmental factors all influence its lifespan. Routine cleaning, lubricating moving parts, and professional inspections can help preserve your fan's efficiency. An attic fan installer near you will install one that works best in your climate.

Signs of a bad attic fan motor include a burning electrical smell coming from the exhaust vent or the fan not turning on. However, a non-functioning fan can also indicate other issues, such as a faulty thermostat, mechanical failure, or a bad electrical connection. Call a local professional to accurately diagnose the problem and suggest viable solutions.

It's not necessary to turn off your attic fan in the winter. Running the fan during the colder months of the year can help reduce attic moisture, prevent ice dams on the roof, and lower the risk of mold growth. If you choose to turn off your attic fan, ensure that attic vents remain open to allow proper airflow.
