"Literally could not have been a better experience. Alex showed up on time, was extremely personable and informative, and did the job quickly, efficiently and expertly. The screen is better than new; i may have to replace all my screens so this one won't make them all look crummy :-) (check the photos; the one taken on an angle shows how tight the screen is) The response time was only one day! With the bugs getting more active here in Navarre, that was a huge relief. And that in spite of the fact that it was a relatively small job. I was treated as if I was their biggest. most lucrative customer. If you need screen work, don't even bother looking elsewhere. These guys are the best."

"First, the representative who came out to give a quote made several suggestions that we had not thought of. We appreciated that he gave us options and let US decide if we wanted to spend a little more or go a more economical route. Second, the communication, before, during and after the install was exceptional. They kept us in the loop and they responded quickly to any calls we made to them. Third, the installation went smoothly and quickly. They had a process and routine that enabled them to do the install with little "waiting around" time. Last, as with any renovation, we discovered a couple of minor problems after the work was done. All our problems were addressed and fixed promptly. This is the second home for which Folker's has provided new windows. We were extremely pleased both times."

"We contacted RenewPro to replace our roof. Our sales rep was David Harrison and he was outstanding working with us going over all the options and what would work the best in our area. He worked with us through the whole process. Their installation crew was outstanding and did an excellent job with the removal, repair, and installation of the new roof. We would highly recommend them for any roofing needs."

"Great! Tim did great work, he came by to ***** the work and gave us a very fair-priced estimate, he even offered helpful tips on other projects we discussed that weren't related to the work we hired him to do. He was very punctual both times he was in the home and very respectful of our request to wear a mask. He was quick to call when a spot opened up, and I really appreciated him thinking of us and fitting us in on short notice. Will definitely hire him again and would recommend him to anyone needing any type of work done."

"Innovative Designs owner Ben George came to our home, took measurements and gave a quote for an awning. <br /> My wife and I discussed the quote and after a day or so decided to have it installed. Ben returned to our home  with color samples and discussed the various models and accessories; we made our decision. The order was placed. <br />   When the awning was received, we were given a call, and we decided on a convenient date for the installation. <br /> Our home is made out of brick. Ben discovered that by drilling into the brick to install the brackets loosened the mortar between the bricks so another option would have to be decided upon. Plan B: different brackets would have to be ordered, so the awning could be installed under the overhang (soffit area) and attached to the joists. This was successful and we are enjoying our new awning. <br /> Ben George (owner) and his assistant were both very friendly and professional. Numerous times during the installation they checked with us to see if we were pleased and if we understood everything concerning the install. <br />   I would recommend Innovative Designs of Northwest Florida to anyone wishing to have an awning installed. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Destin, FL

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
