"I just want to say a few words about Nathaniel and the crew over at ASW Plasterworks LLC. We are currently building a new home and were looking for a stucco contractor. After endless hours on the internet, I decided to request a contractor on home advisor. The next day I received a call from some guy named Nathaniel. We set up a time and date for him to come over and walk the site to get me a quote on the project. Nathaniel showed up on the agreed time. I have very little knowledge about stucco, except that we are on strict budget. From the minute Nathaniel stepped out of the truck and the whole time he visited the site, he educated me on every aspect of the stucco process, including the various materials used by different contractors and the materials durability (You get what you pay for), we all know that. After he left without a commitment other than he would get back to me with a bid, I got to thinking, he never seemed to be pushy but rather just tried to inform me about stucco processes. Also his honesty and forthcoming about stucco sold me and my wife to hire this contractor, I'm sure glad we did. Nathaniel showed up to the job at the agreed upon time to start, and as I got to know the crew that he had with him, I realized that this was a GOLD MINE of a crew. Any questions that I had were answered right away, and it didn't matter what crewman I asked, and their craftsmanship was superb. Each evening I would walk around the house after the crew left inspecting the work, I would notice how they paid attention to details, such as making sure all the stucco rails were level and plumb and how well the lath was attached to the walls of the house. After ASW finished our house, They did an extra effort on the cleanup and made sure that every inch of the job was 100% complete. It's been a few days since they finished and I can not find a single thing wrong on the whole siding job of this house. Looking down the walls on the outside of the house is flat and true, all the expansion joints are clean and it had made our new house look amazing. Nathaniel, PELON, Brian, and Kenneth are a very rare crew these days. I know all this because I am an ex-contractor, I've been around. So if you are hunting a excellent stucco contractor with very reasonable rates, you need to hire this company, you won't be disappointed. I'll close now by thanking Nathaniel and his crew, and hoping they make all their customers as thrilled and happy as my wife and I are about this work of art they installed on the sides of our house."

"The door looks good...not great..but certainly good. In addition to refinishing my door, they claimed to be experts at making the iron on the door look good again. I asked about their process and they explained it would be partially sanded down, all the chipped paint would be removed, a base coat of rust covering primer would be sprayed and several coats of paint would then be applied. The day after my door was returned, I noticed chipping in multiple places on the iron. No thorough sanding, no primer whatsoever. The chips in the paint revealed virtually no prep work. They had sprayed one coat of paint (drips and all). Very unprofessional job. When I called, they came out right away to get the iron. The responsiveness was very good. Unfortunately, because they did such a terrible job and had to redo it, I had to schedule two more times of meeting them at my house (to get the iron and to return the iron). They still charged me for the iron “refurbishing” despite the poor workmanship, outright misrepresentation, and taking up a lot more of my time. The end product was not good. There are still spots that weren’t painted and had the rust showing through. Overall, I paid way too much and would use another company next time."

"I contacted Mr. Nabors about the drywall repair thru Angies List. He responded, came to our home and looked at the work, which consisted of repairing 3  small areas where walls had been cut open to repair plumbing. Later he called and said he had a drywall man available, and priced the job. The bid was a little higher than I expected but included the drywall repair as well as replacing the necessary trim, and since we were really tired of looking at the holes in the walls, I told John to do the job.
  Mr. Nabors had a sub-contractor come to our home and begin the work. He did the repairs over 2 days due to the time required for the drywall compound to cure. When he finished on the second day, he told me that Mr. Nabors wanted a check immediately. I was tied up with an appliance delivery, so I took a quick look at the repairs that had been done and wrote a check.. The sub contractor called a couple of days later and asked if we were satisfied with the work. I told him that he had used the wrong "foot" trim in a bathroom, and he said he'd be glad to come back and replace it. We weren't able to set a time when we were both available, so finally I bought the trim and replaced it myself.
  My wife and I also learned the hard way that when a contractor sprays on drywall texture without using tape or plastic sheeting, that there is a lot of cleanup to be done, which apparently was not part of the job Mr. Nabors bid. We spent a good amount of time cleaning drywall patching compound off of our our custom coated garage floor.  Most of the food items in the pantry also required wiping down since they had a fine coat of compound from the spraying process.
  Looking back, if I take into consideration the cleanup time and trim replacement that we did that should have been part of the job, I'd have to say I paid too much for this job.

"Rocky was on time when he came out to survey the work I needed done. He offered suggestions on how to repair the rotted fascia and wooden beam area which led to a cost savings and did not require me to hire a roofer. He quickly provided me with an estimate. He was working on another job at the time, but kept me up to date on his schedule and when he'd be able to start my job. During the conduct of the work, Rocky was timely (he arrived and left at a reasonable hour), courteous, professional, innovative, meticulous, extremely neat (he cleaned up every day before he left), kept us informed on his schedule (i.e., he let us know if he was not coming usually because of rain), and gladly performed the additional tasks we added onto his plate. The overhangs/house extensions are 18-20 feet high, probably 30+ feet long, 10+ feet wide, are constructed of wood, and have six wooden beams that go from the front through the house and to the back. Rocky hand painted both the front and back overhangs with a brush on a ladder. Any cleaned up any paint that dripped onto the patio. The fascia and beam repairs were very close to the edge of the swimming pool and could not be easily reached with the ladder alone. Rocky built a platform that he extended over a portion of the pool, counter weighted it, and placed his ladder on the platform while he was doing the repairs and painting. When he was done with the work, he disassembled the platform and hauled it away. Rocky took down two old ceiling fans that we had over the back patio and hauled them away. He installed two new fans and get them set up and working. One of the fans would not work so he got on the phone with the technical support group for the fan manufacturer to try to see how to fix the issue. We ended up having him take down the one fan that would not work properly(which we returned) and then put up the new replacement fan. Once again, he made sure both fans were working before he moved onto another task, and he hauled away the boxes from both fans. Having had a lot of work done at the house over the past year, I was impressed with Rocky's neatness. He cleaned up every night, consolidating ladders, paint cans, tarps, and other materials into one inconspicuous location before he left. He did not leave any trash laying around the yard, hoses were recoiled, paint drippings were removed, and when he left we didn't find nails or screws or anything else laying on the ground. We have identified other tasks that need to be done both inside and outside the house, and while my husband could do them, his first response was to "Call Rocky. He'll do a better job than me".
