"Bob came out, was nice, gave a bid.  Afterwards we had a hard time getting them to schedule, apparently they were overbooked.  Then we got a call, could they come out tomorrow?  Work was done in two days, and is mostly very nice, with the exception of some badly cut and placed T-molding. 

The problems came afterwards.  The Angie's List posting clearly says, "No subs," but when I tried to give his workers a check made out to Floors on First, I encountered a certain amount of confusion.  Bob then called and said that he HAD subbed out the job and that he wanted us to make the check out to the workers, although he said we could really make it to him or his business as well,  but he didn't really want that.  It was pretty confusing.

We considered this but as we had hired Bob, not his subs, with the expectation that if something went wrong we could turn to him, and not to subs whose addresses, phone numbers, and license numbers, if any, we did not have, we sent a check made out to Floors on First.  My wife got a rude and aggressive phone call from Bob demanding that we swap out his check. He complained that he doesn't make any profit on these jobs where he doesn't sell the flooring, and now he has to pay taxes on it.

If we wanted to have a job done with no guarantees, we could have used a skilled day laborer instead rather than paying $2300 to someone who presents himself as the service provider and then turns the table on you afterwards for his personal tax reasons.  He is not someone we would choose to do business with again.

"I was referred to Joshua by a close family friend. The experience was above and beyond all expectations i had. Joshua arrived 15 prior to the arranged time and allowed me time to be ready to greet him, shortly afterwards he came in and took precise measurements and drew out the plans for the job. Afterwards we spoke a more on the specifics on the job then he told me he would contact me in a few days with the estimate, true to his word he contacted me 2 days later and the estimate was below what i had originally planned for the project. Once the material arrived Joshua scheduled me for the up-and-coming week. He arrived, again, over 10 minutes prior. I met him outside as he was preparing the tools he would need for the job. He ran over the job again with me to make sure we were both on the same page and he commenced shortly after. Once he finished i was flabbergasted by how be capture my vision though his work. He built, finished and stained 4 cabinets that i wanted hung in my kitchen to perfection, he recreated my backsplash in the modern look we were going for and on top of all of that he even replaced my refrigerator filter that i had on hand. The entire experience was above an beyond what i was told to expect. I would recommend Joshua for any project big or small he excels at them all."

"Bill and his team did a FANTASTIC job painting our new home that was in need of some bright new paint.  The walls were in pretty awful shape with lots of dings, drywall issues, some walls needing wall paper removal not to mention the crown molding either needing to be replaced or smoothed out.  Bill came for an estimate right away when I contacted him (accommodating after work hours) and spent a lot of time with me discussing how he'd do the job and explaining different aspects of painting to me. I had a lot of questions and he was patient and so informative.  He also happily came back out to the house to answer follow up questions before he started the job.
He arrived with his crew on time right when he said he'd start the job and they finished on time in 4 days. I couldn't believe the amount of prep work they did to get the walls in good shape to paint and in the end, it looks amazing. Everyone compliments me on what a great job they did and how good the house looks now- it's amazing what paint can do!
Bill is so knowledgeable and is always happy to answer your questions.   He also will let you proceed as you planned without complaint (I really wanted to use BM colors vs. color matching to Behr paint) and go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with the job in the end.  He even spaced out painting the bedrooms so I'd have somewhere to sleep each night!
The tape job they did to make sure none of our stuff was damaged was impressive and they cleaned up so well. His crew is friendly, professional, and I had no problem letting them come into the house each day while we were at work to do the job.
We will have them back to do some other paints jobs we have planned, but we so happy we found Bill and his team!
