"Wolverine Gutters replaced my gutters and downspouts following a severe hailstorm. They did an outstanding job. They responded in a timely manner. They clearly explained the work that would be done. All aspects of the job were completed in a timely manner without any problems, They even made improvements in a couple areas to reduce the chance of blockages occurring in the future. Everything was inspected after the installation to ensure the new gutters would work properly. All areas around the house were cleaned up thoroughly before they left. I highly recommend the use of this company if you have any gutter needs."

"Infinite stars is my rating for Dayhoff Remodeling. Chuck Dayhoff is an extraordinary craftsman and, more important, he is an exceptional human being. In 2022, my husband, who already battled Parkinson’s, took a serious fall and was hospitalized for the next 10 months. It became very clear that I would not be able to care for him in our home - I needed a more appropriate housing situation. Securing a one-level house was the easy part. Remodeling that house into a completely fitted ADA space was the challenge. In January, 2023, I initiated my search-for-a-contractor. I explored websites and read reviews specifically on Angi. Each review posted about Dayhoff Remodeling was positive - even glowing. I called. From our first meeting, I was impressed by Chuck. He LISTENED to my concerns, hopes, needs, questions, and ideas before he inserted his thoughts. He respected what I had to say and never once discounted my opinions. Instead, Chuck took my visions and moved them to a higher level. I felt as if I were working with Chuck and believed that he truly wanted to manifest what I hoped to have in my new home. When I got stuck with paint, tile, flooring options, Chuck would say, “A comfortable choice (in flooring or tile or paint) might be ___.” I followed most of his leads - and found the outcome “comfortable” indeed. Chuck consistently went above and beyond. Designing the specifics and constructing the ADA bathroom was critical to the ultimate success of the entire remodeling project. Chuck worked directly with my husband on every detail of the bathroom. Chuck made multiple scale drawings showing different placements for the sink, shower, toilet. Chuck took each drawing to the rehab center and showed each to my husband. The two even role-played fixture placement using the bathroom layout at the rehab center. Drawing on his years of experience, Chuck added sensible, practical, and, when executed, beautiful details to every aspect of the project - crafting new drawers in the kitchen and bathroom; also crafting pull-out shelves for the kitchen cabinets; designing and building a sturdy staging platform for the lift installed in the garage; noting that folding closet doors would be preferable to sliding doors; extending the kitchen counter for a usable bar-seating area. Attention to detail influenced each of his work decisions. Chuck is smart, artistic, and skilled - his work is exceptional, and so is he! I trusted him completely. He possesses the highest degree of integrity - it was a high privilege to work with him. At project’s end, Chuck had created a safe and beautiful space for my husband and me. I am truly grateful."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Divide, CO

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
